clean the corner thoroughly and spray it with strong air freshener. Then watch and every time you see it start to go take it to the litter box. Do it gently and calmly if you startle it it might associate the startling with the box not the behavior. Make sure the box is always clean with fresh litter, it should start going there out of its own preference.

Make sure you catch her either in the act or soon afterward, then rub her face in it--not harshly or so that it hurts her, but so she can smell it and know exactly what her face is being rubbed in...then put her in the litter box so she knows WHY her face was being rubbed there. Keep her in the litter box for a while (like sitting a child in a corner) and tell her sternly that you're not happy, bad kitty, etc...that's how I trained my recently acquired cats who preferred to go on the floor instead of the litter box and they stopped within a week and a half.
Just remember to be GENTLE but still firm. Good luck!

by placing the litter box into the corner of the room where she is going you are actually encouraging this behavior so she thinks its OK.
clean the carpet with a good quality cleaner, containing no ammonia this will encourage the cat to urinate there as well. as this reminds them of the sent of urine.
place the tray in a place where you want it i.e kitchen etc and take her to it so she knows where you moved it. when you catch the cat trying to go in the corner of the room take her to the box, keep doing this until she gets the point. its prob an idea to close the living room door while your not there and also the bathroom. you may have a few accidents but it will eventually work.
when i first got my kittens they would try and do this out of laziness, from constant taking them to the box and closing doors while i wasn't there the behavior stopped.
hope this helps.

Go to Meijers it is the only place I know that carries this it is called odor away scrub the area with mean green and spray heavily with odor go after it is dry put some sprayed with OG over the area and tape it in place leave for a while until you notice she no longer goes to that corner and you need to start retraining her to go where you want which means every hour you pick her up and gently deposit her in her box in the bathroom shut the door and leave her for about 15 min than let her out or if you see her sniffing around that area put her in there and close the door

get a covered litter box with filters if you don't want to smell it. She likes it there. I had a corner in my laundry room that the cats were using the pile of clothes to pee. I tossed all the clothes and put a box there. No more problems. That's how they request another box in a location they prefer.

When you said 'she goes to the bathroom on the floor' I am assuming you mean in the same corner. I would place a piece of furniture there for awhile to not make that area available. The cat may be going back to the scent of her previous acts as well. If you know of an item or toy that "scares" her, you can maybe place it there for awhile instead and get her to break the cycle of going over there.

She smells the doo doo or pee pee on the floor. If you have carpet in your living room, buy a strong pet cleaner like Urine Gone or I think Woolite has some pet stain cleaner. After the area is cleaned, put some tin foil or thick plastic there. She won't want to pee or poop on a noisy surface like that. If you see her go over there, pick her up and put her in the other box. Just watch her for a few days. Also, if she leaves a poop in that area, pick it up, put it in the other box, and stick her in there. She'll learn quick.
PS---NEVER rub her face or nose in the soiled area.

I would suggest partially what someone else suggested: Clean it with Urine Gone. Also, follow up with a cat deterrent like Feliway (Drs Foster & Smith catalog has many varieties of this & you may be able to find it at PetCo as well) to keep the cats out of that corner.

It would be better to keep the litter box there, since she already knows how to use it. =)

cannot remember the name of the product..can buy at Petco...enzyme spray that will get rid of the left over urine smell...then bubble wrap..kitties hate the feel of it under their feet...then..on a daily basis..slowly move the box a little closer to the bathroom..will have to walk over it for a while..but should do the trick...
