one goldfish can lay thousands of eggs, so in all pobability, there are more eggs in your pond (you do know that goldfish eat their own eggs also, right?)make sure you have plenty of plants in your pond so the babies will have hiding places, in a few months you will start seeing your new babies
Good Luck

I have a 2000 gal pond. I keep a perch in there for birth control. Guess I'll have to eat the perch cause he ain't doing his job. I have shubunkins, comets and koi. They just keep having babies. that need new homes.

I have no idea how many eggs my fish produce as very few of the babies survive. I know that they have spawned at least 4 times since theyve been in the pond which was only since July and have seen 4 different sizes of fry but only about 10 all together. They eat the eggs and fry. Count yourself lucky that they spawned at all in an indoor aquarium. A good site for goldfish questions is goldfishparadise.com. Lotsa info on everything from diseases to care to spawning. Did you really want 1000 babies???? Good luck. Jalal.

hundred to thousands of eggs bepending on the size of the fish. Most are eaten but some survive... That's why they lay so many eggs in the first place.
