like he was drunk a couple hours later he couln't hardly get up, and when he did, he could not keep his balance and fell it looks like his back legs are paralized. He is not eating or drinking, I am giving him water with a sports bottle. I have called a few vets but they all want big bucks to even look at him. This all started about 24 hours ago. He did throw up a couple of times, and did have a bowel movement, there was some blood in the stools? Do you guys think maybe he was poisoned? Are the signs of poisoning , Lifeless, not eating or drinking on own, blood in stools. Any answers or suggestions will be much appreciated. Also if any one knows of any angencies there may be in arizona that help low income families with vet. bills?

Here's a few links to try:

Call these places and if they can't help, I'm sure one of them will know who can. I'm so sorry your dog is sick. I sure hope you can get him help asap. For the future, I would start a savings account for vet bills. Just putting back $5-$10 a week will add up then should anything happen again, you'll have it covered or at least partly. Good luck!

**Added - Unless you KNOW FOR A FACT what your dog into to become poisoned, NEVER induce vomiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some things cannot be brought back up without serious injury or death occuring such as chemicals. Here is a list of symptoms of poisoning in dogs, hope this helps!

Possible symptoms of Poisoning requiring immediate attention

All the signs you describe could be Coccidia, bad wormy, start of Parvo virus or Distemper(did the stool smell real bad?)The blood in the stool is a sign of Hookworm infestation, but also the other diseaes I mentioned.Bad worminfestation can kill a dog,and so can the other diseases. He needs a vet NOW,surely you can make payment for the visit. If it is Coccidia,or Worms,it wont cost a lot to get it corrected.Parvo and Distemper are the most feared problems..is he up to date on his vaccinations??Go to the vet.Call the Humane Society, maybe they can help with the bill later. But get the poor dog checked out!

I'm really sorry about this. If you cant afford to get him to the vet you shouldnt have really gotten the dog ( just something to keep in mind if you decide to get another pet). But now that you do have a dog there are usually some programs that vets offer or local animal shelters like the SPCA that will give you discounts or free vet visits for people who cant afford it. I'm really sorry about your dog, also try and look up the symtoms of your dog online and maybe they could tell you what to do if it is treatable in your home, or if you should take him to the vet. you could also just call the vet and sometimes the nurses will give you advice on the situation for free. good luck.

Yea, to the Vet pronto.. Have you checked him over .Swelling Bites, stings etc? Does he have access to the road?, possibly struck by vehicle? If a vet is not a option right now . keep Him still in a comfortable place with low lights and sounds. Due to his age is whats got me concerned .Believe it or not Dogs are extremely resiliant animals. Check eyes for response and clarity. with water available. no food at this time. in the morning if situation is worse make some phone calls Im sure you can find a clinic with a payment plan.Hope this is helpful and wish him well.

Oh that sounds serious. Keep him hydrated and get him to a vet now. Check with the SPCA or Humane Society in your area. Sometimes they will help. Blood in stool is not good and neither is the throwing up.

Take your car title to the loan place? You need to take him to the vet. Office fee for a vet is $25.00, I've never seen a vet clinic higher than that. Let the vet look at the dog and recommend tests/xrays. If you can't afford the tests, then have him euthanized. My vet lets me pay 50% down, and make payments on the balance.

Wow, this sounds pretty serious, I would get him to a vet right away. Arrange to make payments, if you can not afford the bill. Hopefully, you can find a non profit agency. Maybe call your local humane society and see if they know of anybody you could take your dog to. However, I would take him right away, this could be life or death. Good Luck.

I think you better find the money to take him to the vet could be very serious. That's the price you pay for owning a dog . It is your responsibility to take care of it. didn't you know this before you got the dog.

your dog has been poisioned and you have let it go to long you can either let him suffer or have him put to sleep if the poision had not gotten through his system for future reference you can make the animal vomit with 2 teaspoons of epson salts or syrup of ipecac. I can not beleive if you loved this dog you would worry about a vet bill mine is 6 and id sell my house to help her or any of my animals UPDATE: Instead of trying to help her dog she is sending of emails complaing about the answers
