I have tried to make her sit when i see another dog approaching, I have tried treats to get her attention, but as soon as she sees it she goes nuts and she's very strong so pulls like mad, so i have trouble making her stay put. She is really nasty when it comes to other dogs but i don't know why because she has been in the kennels for a long time before i rescued her, but she loves people.

The other day i was walking her and somehow she jumped the lead, tried to attck this poor other dog and ended up on a busy road, luckily there was not a car coming and i managed to controll her. It scared me so much i bought another collar, and it was very embarassing. Does anyone have any good tips on how to get her to ignore other dogs.

I have had my cat for about 9 months now and she has never properly used the litter box,she does not cover her poop.I think it is because she left her mommy to early because she was just a kitten when i got.Well she has just had her own litter of kittens and I'm concerned that she will not train them properly because she is not trained herself. What can I do?

We have a german shepherd/ border collie mix, so she has extremely thick fur which is great for where we live.
The only thing is that it gets really hot in the summer sometimes, so my dad decided to get her shaved at the groomers (I had no say in this).
So she came home with all her fur gone, and the groomers said the fur would grow back in 5 or 6 months.

Well we got her shaved in the last week of April and her fur still hasn't grown back. Well she has fur on her legs and stomach. There's some "fuzz" on her body but no long fur like it was.

Has anyone had this happened? Exactly how long will it take to grow back? And why hasn't it grown back?

I've recently started horse shopping in the past couple weeks--looking for a horse that has potential to go to Prelim (and maybe intermediate). So far, I am considering 3 horses: 1. 16.1 8yo TB gelding; POSITIVES:experienced 4'6" jumper (competed pretty successfully); very powerful and atheletic; great conformation; no soundness problems; brave jumper NEGATIVES: cribs (but cribbing collar stops him); tends to be impatient when being tacked up (tosses head in cross ties); not much eventing experience; can be a little too bold to fences at times 2. 17h 7 yo Holsteiner gelding POSITIVES: gorgeous horse; has some eventing experience (but only at novice level); big jump NEGATIVES: slight pigeon-toe in left foot (right foot appears straight) 3. 16.1h 4yo paint/TB gelding POSITIVES: Nice markings; seems to have willing attitude; good conformation NEGATIVES: young and lacking experience; no registration papers Buy a cribber, pigeon-toed horse, or inexperienced younster?

I have a mini lop and she is shedding her fur. I know they use angora rabbits fur in sweaters, what about other rabbits? I also heard of a lady who spun dog fur into sweaters? Does anyone have any information on spinning fur into thread? Thank You

Already have a female Labrador puppy (around 13 weeks old) and a rescue shelter (female) German Shepherd x Labrador (5 years old) and I would like to buy another puppy. I have had a lot of success with the Lab puppy I have now but I would like to get her a friend that is around her age, so, I would be buying a purebred pup from a breeder - not rescue shelter (although I have been to look at a pair of female Kelpie pups and a male Boxer puppy).
I have the current breeds in mind:
Samoyed, Newfoundland, Chinook, American Mastiff, Chihuahua, Basenji, Beagle, Golden Retriever, Jack Russell or a Brittany.

I would like one that will grow up to be around the size of my Lab (when fully grown) so they can play together. I don't want Lili (GSD x Lab) to feel left out either so it has to be around her size, too. Molly (Lab puppy) is very friendly, affectionate and loving; so is Lili. I would like a dog that would get along food with a child (3 mth old) and would get along with Molly & Lili.

This outside mother cat moved her 3 or 4 week old kitten from a barn that was fixed up with a pet taxi and blankets, from the barn to under my house where it is full of water and then she leaves it and it is steady yelping loud and it acts as if it is starving. I brought the kitten into my home and now am hand feeding it every 4 hours and it seems to be more content and less stressed than it were outside all by itself . Before moving it into my home I tried to get the mother cat to take it back and she just act as if she had no desire what so ever for the little kitten she just left and went away. What do I do? Am I doing the right thing.
