We live on the third floor in an older building and have caught 4 mice, how quickly do they breed? where are they coming from and what should we do? Exterminator?

We are having trouble house training our new Jack Russel. We have 2 others dogs who are completely trained, however the new puppy is 5 months, and jsut does not get it. We tell her bad and no when she goes in the house, and we put her nose to it, but she goes psycho and yelps and whines even tho we barely touch her, and then we put her outside. We leave her out there a good 15 minutes or longer, and then she comes right back in and poops on the floor minutes later. We continue this all day. She sleeps in a crate at night, and we let her out right now about every hour and a half, yet she still has quite few accidents a day in the house. I am out of ideas of what to do.

I was at the humane society recently dropping off some donations.. and there was a girl in the lobby dropping off three cats to be spayed/neutered. Our local humane soc. will fix 3 animals a year for free for low income families but she was complaining that she had at least 9 more cats that needed it and they were'nt doing enough to help her. They told her the only option they have is to seize the other cats and give them up for adoption. She then admitted its more like 30 cats, and none of them are fixed... but that she wouldnt give them up. after she left they said they cant seize the animals unless they recieve a complaint.. but it seems to me that she cant possibly be able to care for over 30 cats, especially if she cant afford medical treatment for them. I dont know where she lives.. so I dont know of the living conditions. Do you know of any steps that can be taken to help? we dont have animal enforcement officers here.. just local police assist the humane society in seizures

I have a miniture pincher named "Hunter" and just adopted a rat terrier named China and I was wondering if anyone gives their dogs a plate of food as a treat from the table on Thanksgiving? I do cause I feel that they are my kids and they are part of my family but i dont give them any chocolate though cause i know it kills them ,,,, if you have something sarcastic to say please dont answers,,,

we got jack about a month ago and hes only 2 1/2 months old and from the first day we got him hes been a very nervous cat. we decided to get him a playmate so we got a six week old girl kitten whos very outgoing. we just introduced them and she could not care less but jack is hissing and attacking. its only been two days but i was just wondering if anybody had any feedback or advice

but, I've only just thought of something... how do we handle the sleeping arrangements? I usually leave my bedroom door cracked so T-Bone can come and go as he pleases, sometimes he sleeps with me, sometimes in the chair in the living room... but what if they *both* want to sleep with me, I'm not sure there's enough room in the bed...

Whenever a woman comes over he tackles her and urinates all over her. This is a real turn off when I bring a date home. Granted most of the time we still have sex while she's covered in piss, sometimes the woman doesn't want to, she says it ruined the mood. Plus the smell is unpleasant. Any suggestions on how to get him to stop?

I have one indoor female cat. She is very large and has an attitude. I also take care of two stray outdoor cats that have been becoming more friendly to me than my house cat. They sleep on the front porch of my apartment. I've noticed that when ever I touch a male cat, my indoor female cat becomes evil and aggressive. He will hiss , growl and attack me. She tries to scratch my legs and makes the most evil sounds. Its getting cold out and I despirately want to let my outdoor kitties come in but one of them is a male and my indoor cat wont stand for it. How can I get my kitties out of the cold? Help me please.

I have noticed that my beta is just sitting on the bottom of the tank and not swimming around like he normaly does but it has also started to get colder (IL)which made the weather a little bit more colder, could the reasons for his "sitting around" be because of the water being cold and if so how can I keep the right water temperature? so my betta can return to its normal self. I have a three year old dog that will not stop pooping in the house. We just moved into a place where he isn't able to hide his poop in a room that we don't go in, so he poops over by the kitchen table. I have been scolding him everytime that he does it. I pick him up carry him over to the poo, shove his nose in it, and tell him that he is a bad dog. I then throw him outside. I also have been praising him when he does go poop out side. He knows he isn't supposed to do it, because every time he does he will hide behind the chair, so i know that he did something wrong. I am doing everything that i know to do, he isn't pooping inside as much as he used to, but I want to completely eliminate the problem. What else can i do?

I'm currently researching crested geckos because I plan on getting one in a few weeks, I'm trying to read everything I can about them so I know what I'm doing when I get it, so far my research is internet based and I've found about 4 really good and helpful sites, the only thing is they tell you vaugly what food is good for them, crickets, fruits and such, but not how often to feed them. so I need some help with that, if you are or have been an owner of a crested, could you please tell me a good feeding schedule I guess is what I'm trying to ask for, also include the food you feed =)

Its not that I have a fascination watching my dog have a dump outside, its just that I, as well as well as others have observed this behavior by a dog after its done its thing. Yes it can be amusing cause they seem "triumphant" as they shoot their back legs out a few times, one after the other. I've never seen any other animal do this. Gawd,,,,,,, you all must think I have an animal poop watching fetish!!!! LMAO
