We have tried dry food and meats and he still does not want to eat the food. I got him last week. So i do not know if he is home sick or what. Outside he is happy but when I bring him in after walks he is sad and will not eat food. He comes when I call him but after that he just lays aound not wanting to do nothing. If some one can help me it would mean alot.

Well, if you got him last week, has he been examined by a vet to be sure he is health and all is well?, if not, that is what I would recommend first. If all is well there, the next thing I would do would be to purchase a good premium dry food and a few cans of premium wet food, follow the dry food feeding instructions and put a teaspoon or two of the wet food in his dish and see if that interests him at all.

Since he loves to be outside so much maybe you could try putting his bowl outside a few days just to eat then set it just inside the door after that and see what happens. If it works then you can gradually put it where you want it.
You can also try putting a little chicken broth on it. It does not take very much. If he still does not eat after a few days I would consult a vet.

I would take dog to vet to investigate a possible digestive tract blockage.Its possible that the dog could have ingested some material that is stuck in the stomach or intestines,prolonging a delay could be painfully fatal to the animal.A simple piece of rawhide chew can cause this to happen,there is such case in texas where a dog ingested Gorrilla Glue and it had to be surgically removed.A serious pet lover would get animal to vet pronto,better to be safe than sorry

My T-Bone won't eat out of his dish since I brought in the new dog... I measure out his food into his bowl then hand-feed him. I am drawing him closer and closer back to the bowl... tonight halfway through I'll try to get him to eat out of the bowl...

what type of dog is it to wam inside for him? do you live in a small place? does he have toys inside you can interact with him with? and my fussy german shepherd loves the purina beniful I find that all dogs will eat that. Dogs are not just carnavories they like veggies to and beniful gives them a good balanced diet. you can go to www.purina.com and go to the different foods they will send you coupons for free small bags of the different foods than it wont cost oyu alot to find what he will want to eat
