I was sitting at the computer and my cockatiel was on my hand. She then flew off my hand and landed on my lap. I got her and I went on YouTube to look at other peoples birds. She then started screaming like she was hurt. I think it might be her wing. I tried touching her wing to see if it hurt and if it did she would react. She started screaming and tried biting. Every time she moves her wing she starts screaming. I even asked the bird "Is your wing hurt?" and she actually moved her wing out. I don't know whats wrong. Is her wing hurt and should I take her to the vet?

My cat has had a large, mobile lump on his neck for ages, but my parents never got round to taking him to the vet. Now they're away and I've noticed the lump has burst, and his fur is now wet and matted in the area. He seems fine within himself, eating normally and everything. I don't drive and the vet is ages away and not open on the weekends anyway, Im not sure what to do. Could anyone suggest what it could be and what I should do, ie dress the area or anything? Thank You.

Hi I have a problem I just moved into a new condo and the owners have told me I cannot keep my 2 very spoiled dogs. I rescued both of them over 2 years ago, and now I need to find a good home that will treat them the way they are used to being treated. One is a Male Australian Cattle dog, fixed and has all his shots, and the other is a Female chihahua German Shepard mix, fixed with all her shots. PLEASE need to find a good home fast. I am in Simi Valley California.

I want to be a veterinarian and i've been doing a lot of research on the job! I'm not old enough to be one yet but i'm just curious to know what are the chances of me being a very successful veterinarian? I get straight A's on my report cards and i'm very very patient!

We took her out to the park today and she was running around like crazy, when we left I noticed her right leg was shaking, and now she's limping when she walks. She won't bend her ankle (is that what they are on dogs?) and so I think it might be sprained. Should I take her to the vet now or wait until tomorrow to see if it gets better? Should I...I dunno, put an ice pack on it or something? I need some advice here.

My neighbor and his wife, who i am friends with, have a small Poodle who has bitten several of their relatives(even drawing blood from his brother) and they seem to think this is funny. While they think it's not a big deal because the dog has done no real serious damage, this concerns me because they are being irresponsible pet owners. There are small kids in our neighborhood and they let this dog roam freely. A couple of other neighbors have voiced their displeasure to me about it. I think they are intimidated by my neighbor who owns the Poodle because he is a big guy(6'4,310) who is known to be a bit of a hot head. I'm not afraid of him(i'm an ex-boxer) and i have tried to talk to him and his wife about this, but they seem to think it's not a big deal. What can i do to keep peace in my neighborhood but at the same time, make sure the kids are all safe? This dog has chased a kid on her bike before and the owners actually laughed about it. This is not cool. What should i do about this?

Mine goes nuts. Tries to bite it, then runs away. Big fun every time I get a new box.

Iy is a group of breeds, ENGLISH BULL TERRIER, AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER, STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER, AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER. In some case bans have included related breed, MASTIFF, PRESA CANARIIO, DOGO ARGENTINO, BLUE BLOOD BULLDOGS and there are more. . The city if Denver's law is so vaguely worded that it could and have ment any dog that lookslike any of these breeds. We need to stop blaming dogs because it is not just the pit group being hurt. The human part of this mess is what needs to be taken care of. If not when breeds are ban then the bad guys will just use another breed that will be ban till all that is left are toy breeds.

Cat was born in 1998. She has NOT been 'fixed'. Is primarily a 'house cat'. Hasn't been injured (to our knowledge). We lost a cat last year who was older (born in 1992) that had the same thinning of hair where the tail meets the body. Need to know how serious this condition could get. Thanks!

As many of you know, I had set up a website to find homes for the street cats in my neighborhood. I took a number of months off work for the project (I'm also paying for them all to be desexed, vaccinated etc)...I have to move overseas in 2 weeks. On Thursday Yahoo shut the site down and took all my emails from me, of course, including all those from potential adopters. It worked out ok for me as I discovered godaddy (which is much cheaper) but now there are many cats that won't be able to get into homes. Do you agree with yahoo taking all emails directed to a charitable website aimed at re-homing stray cats? It had no advertising etc. and the cats weren't "for sale".
Thanks

My dog runs out the house everytime the door opens, someone told me to spray water in her face to stop her. She runs up the street and will not come back. What am I going to do? I have had her for a year.
