1 st go to the ASPCA or aspca.com and get one there for 90$ am getting a lab oh and teach them by introducing them first don't get the puppy to close to the cat you don't now how it might react .

jack's , baby or not are very hyper. I wouldn't suggest such an introduction as a baby won't have the smarts to not try to play with the cat and could get severly hurt. has the cat ever befriended any dogs before? puppys and kittens introduced at the same time do really well together, but your cat is past the kitten stage. bad idea. Better to get a 6mth old puppy, that is a calmer species

research the jack russel terrier before you get one, they are very smart and need alot of stimulation and play time. if you have the time and energy go for it...

They'll get along fine - right after the cat lets it know its place.
