None whatsoever. Feline Leukemia is entirely different than human leukemia. Feline leukemia is transmitted through urine and bite wounds, but primarily through urine. It is contagious between cats but not people. If contracted at a young age, most kittens become very ill and die. Older cats can live with the illness but must be quaranteened for life from other cats. They have the virus and therefore must not be allowed to expose other cats. The biggest prevention you can do is vaccinate your pet yearly for this disease. It is an inexpensive vaccine at most vet clinics.
Also, I was reading the postings of other participants, and HIV was brought up. FELV or Feline leukemia is NOT at all the same as HIV in humans. There is another disease in cats called FIV or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus that is a mutant strain of Human HIV. It is not contagious to humans and is passed in the bite wounds and occasionaly during sexual contact of an infected cat. Again, there is a vaccination available.
Educate yourself by calling the vet, not on Yahoo! Answers. This is not exactly the place to find experts in this area.

there are approaches to cat information your backyard in spite of the indisputable fact that it must be a touch intense priced. you ought to get a harness and slowly practice her to stroll on a lengthy leash. A cat gained't act like a canines on a leash. you ought to shop on with cats the position they prefer to move. yet i do not imagine that's merciless to shop cats interior. My proper pal has 7 indoor cats and they are all in simple terms tremendous. Cats are easily safer interior because they are not operating into different animals or ailments. i do not comprehend if she will be able of ever end meowing on the door. I had a cat once that doesn't end licking the area of the refrigerator. We moved and she or he licked the hot refrigerator too. sturdy success!

There is a disease some cats have that is similar to human HIV. They cannot be adopted out and have to stay away from other cats, or euthanized. Anyone with a compromised immune system must stay away from birds and cats.

Leukemia is like Cancer, not something you catch from close contact with anyone or any creature, although there are studies that suggest living near electrical pylons can increase the risk.

Vicious little furry bastards were sent here to infect us all. They look at us a certain way, have you noticed? Id say, any evidence of trying to systematically kill humans, is not coincidence, but a deliberate plan, they have mind controll, too, thats why there is such a range of expensive, varied, and delicious cat food for sale in supermarkets, We make it, and we buy it, for them, open it, serve it to them....who's really in controll?
