I found that no matter what I put in there from peanut butter, to cheese, to treats, to combo of all of these things, he seems to finish it pretty fast. Just wondering from all you experienced dog owners, what is the longest lasting thing to put in there that will keep him busy for the longest time without it being gone quickly? Thank you.

have you tried freezing the peanut butter in the Kong yet? seems to work for my GSD....

The best thing to put in a kong is peanut butter, then put it in the freezer. It will take your dog ages to get the frozen peanut butter out.

If you put in peanut butter, try freezing for an hour or so. I did and it lasted much longer that way. You could probably freeze it with cheese, too, although I didn't try it with cheese.

Oddest thing but I had a sirlion steak left over from dinner and I put it in the kong ... my pitbull could not get it out ... even after 3 hours of persistence. The steak roled up into a little ball from him trying to lick out the juices. Looked pretty good but my pup was having a blast and gave me some piece.

Cream cheese icing should be kept refrigerated. I doubt a day or two on the counter in decent temps would hurt your dog since their systems are more resilient against bacteria than humans.

he is smart it won't matter what u put in there he will get it quick my dog is the same cheese is suppose to be the hardest to get

WOW..i got one of those kongballs for my dog today...she wouldnt play with it..i didnt know you put treats in them...now i do !!thanks...im gonna put some leftover turkey in it tomorrow....
