Kittens like to get into everything. Of my three cats, the one was 5 weeks when I brought him home and the other two were only 3 weeks. The younger ones were fine until they figured out how to get out of their "room" (they were probably 8-9 weeks at the time) and the one (they're 6 yrs now) still likes to chew paper. Surprisingly maybe, the one who was a little older is more attached to me, but the other two had eachother. By the way, 8 weeks is the ideal time to take kittens from their mother. My 6 year old cats were abandoned and turned into my vet at about 2 weeks.

Yes! I've had my cat since she was 5 weeks, we thought she was older when we got her from a friend. And she was hell raising, yes it's fun seeing them grow up. But it's really exhausting. They're so tiny and get into EVERYTHING! Lol, I would confine my kitten to a room and have to put up cardboard around ever cord and anything she could hurt herself with.

She's now a year old and still is the same curious kitten! We're always having to run after her to drop things or get her out of places. And now with Christmas coming she's starting to climb the christmas tree again :( Ahh the things with cats/kittens.

It is worth it in the end, but getting there seems forever sometimes.

No. If you only have the one kitten, they are easy to raise. They have the instinct to know to use the litter box. They are fun to play with, but you must have time for them. Also there will be the bills to have their shots and have them spayed or neutered. You will want to keep them in the house. I have 10 cats. I don't suggest you get this many! You will enjoy the kitten, but remember you are responsible for this animal for the rest of its life and that can be up to 20 years.

Yes but it is worth it. Mostly it is just teaching the kitten not to play with inappropriate things. For example-- electrical cords, TV remotes, houseplants, etc.
They are easy to housebreak- just keep putting them in the litter box after meals and after they wake up from a nap. They will figure it out. Keep the litter box clean, fresh food available and plenty of fresh water. They need toys and a scratching post. It is like having a child. But the kitten phase only lasts a short while and then they grow up and become cats and are still lovable. Enjoy your cat.

Having a kitten is only a little more work than having a cat. Providing you remember that kitty's needs are paramount. That nothing else in your life is as important as kitty. That cats were worshiped as gods by the ancient egyptians and they think they still should be. You won't go far wrong. Cats are wonderful so it's worth the work.

Not really. You just have to watch them for chewing on cords and make sure to keeps their claws trimmed down or get Soft Paws nail caps to save furniture. Cats are easily box trained, even as kittens. I've had cats my entire life and can say kittens are way easier than puppies!!!

Kittens are baby cats, and like human babies, as well as many other species, they are all different. Some are really well behaved & easy to raise, while others are rambunctious, hyper & unruly. I would suggest being prepared for anything if you intend to raise a kitten. :)

Only if you do it right. Just like babies of any species Kittens need a lot of attention. They need to be played with and disciplined consistently to socialize them and teach them what is acceptable and what isn't.
They aren't as hard as puppies however. They instinctually bury their excrement. If a litter box is provided he will learn to use it quickly. Provide a scratch post and show him what to do and it should be relatively easy to get him to use it.

No, they litter train and paper train a lot sooner than a dog but kittens like to scratch and chew and they need attention and good food and medical care.

A baby anything is a lot of work if you raise them properly. They need more attention than an adult cat for sure.
