I have a 5 month old pup that's going to get neutered tomorrow morning. The vet told me not to feed him after 10pm. Does this include water? I'm not sure because for humans when they have to undergo surgery and be on anesthetic they can't have food or water the night before. I know he'll feel nauseated if he were to eat after 10pm, but I just wanted to make sure if it was just food or if it's food and water. Thanks!

My boyfriend and I are looking at possibly getting a puggle. He's always loved pugs, but I don't like their snout (they snort too much when breathing and they have respiratory issues). I've always liked beagles, but he doesn't like them because they're hard to train. We figure a puggle is good because it is a mixed breed, it shouldn't have the respiratory problems of a pug and hopefully will be easier to train than a beagle. Any insights from people who own or are familiar with the new breed?

did you know that fish have no memory whatsoever? everything is always new to them. that is why they swim in circles. they will see a certain rock, then they will swim away, then they will go back to it and they will not remember it ever being there. i think that is wicked cool.

I have 3 babies who all have their claws. My DH wants to get the newest one declawed because he has ripped parts of the carpet to shreds, and is absolutely a misreable beast when you try to cut his nails.

I am totally against it because I have heard that it it involves more than just taking the claw out, and it can be very painful.

By the way, all my babies are indoor only cats. All adopted from shelters, and the last one was found as a stray who we took in. That's enough though, three's a crowd!!!

My tabby runs around with a little stuffed animal in her mouth, meowing loudly (almost a howl). It's really funny. I'm thinking she thinks she is a killer predator, dragging home her kill?

Does your cat do this?
