Have a 3 yr old tortoise, not sure what type he is but was wondering if it is safe for him to share his pen with a different breed of tortoise, also a young tortoise of around the same size. Had various sources telling me i can others telling me i cant due to an illness possible being passed on to each other. Any help will be appreciated.

I am a big dog lover and would like to get a boxer. My boyfriend likes them too, but doesn't like the fact that they drool so much. We read in a breeder magazine that there's a surgery they can have to reduce the drooling. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of it, and ideally if any of you have had it done to your boxer?
Thanks for your time!

Think about it! They:

ARE QUIET!
Don't leave big messes.
Don't have to be walked or excersized.
Can stay out in any season, rain or shine.
They eat grass and plants!
Won't run away (or if they get out of the backyard, they can't get far!)
Accesorize with any outdoor lanscaping, like rocks and shrubs.
Have no need to come indoors and probably don't want to.
They live forever if taken care of properly.
Won't attack you and the kids love em.
No toys to buy or special housing.

Cool huh? Now if I cand find one....

I was just wondering how the people at the animal shelters put down the animals? Do they feel pain from the process and do you think they know what is happening to them?

Another question from my friend as we're going through the snakes archive here on Yahoo Answer. What the reason why some snakes attempt to eat their own tails?

she never got rashes until we moved to California (from Colorado)... she is an active little dog and we play frisbee in the grass a couple times a week. now she gets redness between her toes and part way up her legs and some on her tummy... it usually gets better within a week, but she licks and bites her paws all the time now! I took her to the vet and they gave her Temeril which she had an even worse reaction to. She got huge welts on her tummy... any other suggestions? btw... we've tried several different soccer fields to play at, and they all seem to give her rashes.

I saw a movie tonight where a guy fell into a pit full of snakes, which I'm assuming is poisonous. But as we all know, some snakes eat other snakes when they're hungry so two questions:

Q1) Is it possible to have a pit full of poisonous snakes? Or will some of them eat each other while you're waiting for some poor fellow to "drop in" and you end up with only one or two well fed snakes after some time?

Q2) Snakes rarely bite people as we're too large to digest except for the largest of constrictor snakes. Most poisonous snakes I would say couldn't eat a man. Would the snakes bit the poor fellow if he fell in but didn't make any threatening moves. Or would they just leave him alone? Any snake experts can answer these questions? Just curious, you can have fun with the answers.

We've had our amazon parrot for about two years now; we found him in a tree outside our house and no one claimed him so we kept him. Never could figure out how old he was.

We have an automated litter box (Litter Robot, http://litter-robot.com/) that has a front opening. Three of our cats use the box just fine, going in, turning around, and doing their business properly. However, we have a fourth that doesn't turn around, and as a result, pee comes out of the opening and messes up the step to the box, which the other cats are not fond of. We've tried various solutions, but all we could do is contain the damage with paper towels and a second box with a plate with holes over top to catch the pee and let it drip into the litter below. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas that we've not thought of. Thanks in advance.
