hello all, I dont know a lot about reptiles, but I was wondering if its ok to get a Chameleon as a pet!! First of all, Are they safe or poisonous? IF they are safe, do they transfer some kind of a disease or anything to human beings?

My fish keep dying! I have a 20 gal freshwater tank, temp set at 78 degrees. I had some blackskirt tetras in the tank but gave them to a friend. I then bought new fish and a pleco and introduced them to the tank. My pleco is doing great, but the other fish -- a silver molly, a black molly, several guppies, and two blue danios -- died within 2 days.

I took a water sample to the pet store and everything was fine. The nitrates were good, the ph was good, the ammonia levels were good. The pet store told me to add a bit of salt to the tank, do 5 gallon water changes ever day for 4 days, the whole routine, just to be sure. I went back on the 4th day and my water STILL tested good, so brought home 2 adult mollies and 6 baby mollies.

They all died within a week. The babies lasted longer than the adults. What could be going on if the water tests fine and the pleco is thriving?

i know of many countries where the animals are neutered and given vaccinations "free"regardless of living in the streets or not,why don;t they apply the same system of charity and kindness in asia?it's even ridiculous.that a license is required to raring even cats in singapore in houseboard,it's exploitations.no other better excuses for that,

How do you look after it? because i think it is getting some kinda straw-likethingy on its surface and i don't know if it is harmful (to humans) to touch the marimo again and give it a good wash and squeeze.

Anyone an expert on marimo? thanks

There are thousands of dogs and cats urgently needing homes, rescue centres this time of year are full of them, so why do people still insist on breeding from their household pets. Is it just for the money, or is there some other reason.

My hamster has developed some bad habbits, he started smoking about 20 aday, he's always going down the pub with his mates and now he's got my big sisters hamster pregnant, he refuses his responsibilities. "HELP" PS They have separate cages.

1) What will happen if 2 male and 1 female in a tank? As I know they perfer 2 female with 1 male
2) If I dont sperate with the female and male, will my tank get over population?
3) If the tank only have 1 male and female, will the baby all look the same?
4) If I sell the guppy to the pet store, how much they will offer? 10 cent each???

We have a 9 week old Min Dachshund puppy who is beautiful. She does however have a tendency to bite, fingers toes, arms etc. We have lots of toys for her to chew and play with but she does still have a tendecny to bite whenever we play with her. I am assuming that she is still teething and once she develops her adult teeth she should get better. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

I have 4 platy fish, one of which has had several babies, so far known have surrvived, they get stuck in the filter and when we release them they get eaten! But if we leave them in the filter they die anyway, so how an i save them?
