There's a dog at the dog park that always goes right for my dog. Tonight I ignored it but he was really going at it and his "thing" was out. I dread it when I see this dog. He doesn't bother the other dogs that way. He is a golden-doodle and mine is a golden retriever.

I use a standard pinch collar on my German Shepherd, and I find that I don't have the finger strength to undo the links, so to put it, on I have to slip it over my dog's head. It's not very effective as a pinch collar if it's loose enough to fit over her head. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a pinch collar that had an easier to work with way to get it on and off the dog, maybe a quick release clasp or something. I've tried a choke collar, but it's just not effective with my dog.
Thanks for your help!

I have a year old male boston terrier and his name is Bo. Well he actually has this long drawn out registered name but who cares, we just call him Bo. We got him for a pet not to breed.
Anyway..........my poor little boy is at the doggie hospital as we speak getting fixed. Is this going to help him stop being so hyper? I know it does on alot of dogs but have been told that it is not going to help with a boston terrier. Anyone know for sure? Anyone with experience with boston terriers?
Also how do I get him to stop chewing up shoes and my little girls toys?

In New York State in particular. I hear all these people saying that it's both illegal to keep or kill a (native) praying mantis. Now, I don't know why anyone would want to KILL one, but my daughter and I just CAUGHT one and we are keeping it as a pet. Really cool to watch the way it stalked a cricket (I have lots of reps that I feed cricks to). Thing is, my kid is so darn HONEST that she feels if we are breaking the law we ought to let it go. We probably will anyway and I'll buy an exotic at the next rep expo (hopefully they'll be one on Long Island in '07). I always did wonder though about that tale of illegality for keeping or killing.

she has had up to 20 dogs at one time, she keeps two cats tied up on leashes and some of the dogs stay in cages that they cant even stand in. she has two cats in a cage outside under the rabbit cage. she cant hear all those dogs barking and even the neighbors 1/4 mile down the road complains of the noise, and I live next door.oh yeah and she only walks and feeds them when she feels like it.

When the water level drops in my fish tank I can see a few very tiny nats on the tank above the water line. Does anyone know what they are, why they are there, how to get rid of them, are they dangerous to the health of my fish etc? I have mostly Tetras and they are pretty old (not new fish that I just brought home). Any serious info is appreciated.

We found her nine years ago when her mom abandoned her. She didn't even have her eyes open yet. We'd never had a cat before so we kept feeding her milk, thinking that's what we were SUPPOSED to do. We finally took her to the vet because she kept crying. He told us that the milk wasn't filling her up and gave us some special formula to use, but we had essentially starved her for a few days by that time and she was obviously weaned too early.

She has turned out to be the most ornery cat I've ever seen. I've been around other cats. They like to be pet, they're social. . .kind of cold, but not THAT bad. My cat is cranky all the time. She only likes her head scratched, and that's only sometimes. She runs away every time company visits. She hisses and growls all the time. She acts like she's been ABUSED, for goodness sake, and we've always treated her very well. Why does she act like this? Could the stuff when she was young have traumatized her badly?

I was thinking an Italian Greyhound, a Miniature Pinscher, or a Daschund, for an idea. I want a small dog, not one of those that you carry around all over the place, but you can still pick up. Short hair is preferred. I like the look of the streamlined head of the Greyhound and the Pinscher. Like a mini hell hound.

My sister told me that it is a good thing we fed the cows grain because otherwise they would become ill. However, I don't think anyone feeds wild cows because they're wild. So, what do they eat instead?

Wild cows are elusive creatures; I have never observed them enough to see what they eat...
