I know what they discovered 3-4 years ago. At that time, the person running the research department had personal problems going on and his work and criteria reflected it. Since then, he has been fired and a new director of research has taken over. IAMS is a good brand for dog food and cat food. Their formula is proven to work and deliver everythign it promises and says on the bag. I own 4 dogs and feed them IAMS kibble along with some canned alpo from time to time. My coats are beautiful, teeth pearly white with NO decay or cavitites and their energy level is still as high as ever. So, why, 4 years later, after the "bad guy" was fired and removed are people still making a big deal. IAMS is proven to be better than 85-90% of the brand out there.

My dad bought this dog gizmo for my sister. But my sister moved to my moms and my dad was going to get rid of him so he offered him to a next door neighbor who is fond of him. my dad didn't realize that I grew fond of him and can't stand the thought of getting rid of him. But my neighbor doesn't know the decision we made to keep him. How do I tell her that we're keeping Gizmo without hurting her feelings?

I just saw online someone selling teacup chihuahuas for $1200 to $1500. Is that common to sell these pups for that much? They say the dog will be 1.5lb to 2.5lbs as an adult.

My cats eyes is swollen w/discharge and is not eating or drinking, it was a stray that i got about a week ago and seemed fine. I took to vet and they gave me antibiotics to give, plus meat flavored baby food to eat..was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. Vet wanted to keep overnight, but I am unsure if I am going to keep and dont want to have that expense and seem all no kill shelters in MD are not accepting cats right now...any help would be greatly appreciated..

which one do you like better? cats are independent, clean, and do some amazing things. dogs are almost always friendly, very faithful, and will learn tricks better(most of the time). also which is cuter, pupies or kittens? just curious. i am moving from my apartment to a house this december, and am trying to make up my mind, because we can only have one pet..

My cat is tooo funny.... Every morning my alarm goes off and I usually hit snooze. After hitting snooze several times I usually roll over on my back and if I don't get up my cat gets mad. She stands on my belly and kneads it while making every sound imaginable. She'll say something then I'll say something back and we go back and forth. She only does this in the mornings and if it wasn't for her I would have been late a lot of times! Anybody else have this happen?

My cat suddenly developed "fits", often beginning with his mouth twitching or bathing that turns into frantic licking. His whole back will ripple. When he tries to lick different areas, he acts like he has a bad taste in his mouth then takes off running. Sometimes this lasts for seconds, sometimes it goes on and on for only short breaks between "fits." He also developed diahrrea about a week ago. He has been to the vet twice. He is being treated for the diahrrea but an exam and blood work gives no explanation for his disturbing behavior. It does not seem like seizures as he is very relaxed when we pick him up during a fit and he doesn't phase out on us. I don't want to put him on seizure medication which could harm him if that is not what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

This woman I work with found her young healthy dog with a bat so she brought it to the vet and they euthanized all her three dogs for fear of rabies. How could this had been avoided? Was this really neccessary??

Does anyone have any idea on how to stop a dog from digging. Any help would be greatly appreciated in the answering of this question. I currently live in an apt but go home to the house my mother stays at for work. It is a nice house and yard but it isnt our yard and dashie the dog has practically destroyed it with her digging.

I just do not understand it.....why are my doggies testicals hard and he stoped eating...duh ask the vet...he needs one... why is my dog peeing Black...duh ask the vet.... Why does my dog keep puking.. duh as a vet.....I mean come on Things like this would send us streight to the doctor... but its a dog so we will ask a stranger instead.... If people really cared dont you think they would go directly to the vet for serious issues.... or if its after hours I know every phone book has an 24 hour vet clinic.... so why ask strangers when you can pick up the phone and find out if it is life threatning or if it can wait till monday....from a PROFESSIONAL
