which one do you like better? cats are independent, clean, and do some amazing things. dogs are almost always friendly, very faithful, and will learn tricks better(most of the time). also which is cuter, pupies or kittens? just curious. i am moving from my apartment to a house this december, and am trying to make up my mind, because we can only have one pet..

oh yeah. to the chic who said why ask other people? the same reason you ask quesions on here. for opinions. because you would like to know what other people think... and i like reading about other people and their affection for the animal they would rather have

I am a lover of all animals and have had ferrits, hampsters, hermit crabs, fish, lizards among various others. The reason for all the different type pets was when my dog of many years died I was affraid of getting attached. But honestly there is nothing like the love of man's best friend. I have had my dog Neka now for two years. She is a pit bull and a wonderful companion. I also have a white kitten powder which my dog and myself love very much. Neka thinks powder is hers sometimes and people talk about how viscious pits are go figure. So I would have to say Dog by far.

I love them both, but I would have to choose dogs. They are much better companions. Cats seem to only think of catching prey than anything else. Also... a cats litter box is the worst smelling thing you will ever smell. That alone is a big deterrent.

Why just those two options??
I suggest you also consider a goldfish, a stick insect , a chinchillas, a parrott or perhaps a llama.
Only one though. But if you get a cat or a dog, they're bound to bring in fleas. That would make more than one pet in the house, and you could be in trouble.
Stick to a goldfish, they cant get fleas. They wash off.
(only my opinion..)

Both are great. Cats don't require as much of your time as a dog would. That's not saying cats don't need attention too, but a dog will require exercise and training.
Whatever you decide, save a life, spay or neuter

I have a cat and as much as I love him, I must say that dogs are truly more friendly and people-orientated than cats. Plus you can train tham better. Just make sure that you have enough time for one.

Dogs need more attention and excersise than a cat so if you are not home very much get a cat if you have the time a dog. I have both and love them both...

Everybody has a different opinion - does it matter!? Yes dogs are nice and so are cats! But get an animal that best suits you , not us!

Personally I don't have a favorite. My dad has a dog, my mom has a cat. I love them both.
