We have a choice of two Cardigan Corgis: A one year old Blue Merle - who costs $300 and a 10 Week old Black and White who costs $750. We already have one dog at home (an older Bichon) and three kids (all under age 6). I lean toward the older dog because of the price and the training already done with the dog. But, the pup might integrate into the family a little easier [but, the cost is a bit steep for our budget].

We moved onto a hobby farm,4 goats came with the place, one of the goats a male has an awful curly horn that is starting to grow right into his eye socket adding pressure I'm sure,I have no knowledge of how to treat it,I have however found out so far that I should try and wait till fall so flies don't get at it,they tend to bleed alot.

Wogan, our new Irish Wolf Hound has just been castrated and the vet asks if we want to keep the nuts? I suppose if we had them embalmed and he got run over we'd have something to remember him by. What do you think?

I just adopted a puppy last week from a shelter, she is 4 months old, they really had no imformation on her. I couldnt bring her home untill she got spayed, I picked her up on monday, she does still have her stitches. My question is really kinda of concern, she isnt eating much , it is not saturday, and she is lazy. She did vomit alittle bit this morning like watery vomit. Is this all because she is still not feeling well from her surgery or should I be really concerned. her nose does feel alittle warm and dry, but yesterday it was alittle runny. I am just confused. I feel bad for her. Should I just let her be and see if she feels better. any advice would be greatly apprecited

My dog was bitten by something yesterday- a small pin prick but it caused bleeding and serious swelling around her eye and down to her throat. The vet ran some tests and didn't find any venom. Could a non-poisonous snake cause that much swelling? Or maybe it was a poisonous snake that didn't inject its venom? Any other animals that could've caused it? (We were down by a river).

Im looking for a semi-small dog, but nothing that small, that has a good energy level and has the capability to be trained well. Nothing with extreme maintenance either, such as a collie with their coat's.

I bought a pair of bunnies (I'm not sure how old they were but one of them seems much younger than the other) off of a local vender along with some rabbit pellet food (yellow/unmarked). Recently I've been trying to fit some fresh vegetables into their diets, carrots, cabbage, and some string beans. Since I am in a foreign country right now, there isn't a specified area to buy pet supplies nor a local veterinarian (or not a certified one). The younger bunny, which a friend who has owned a rabbit before, is around 4 weeks old, which is much too young to be weaned off of the mother rabbit I believe. Recently he's acting a bit sluggish and what I thought was diarhea was probably just cepill pellets. He isnt very energetic and usually just lies there while the other bunny moves around, eats, etc. He does eat however so it isnt a problem. There is a little discharge around his nose and mouth area, yellowish in color. His breathing is very heavy, and puffing around the stomach area.

We left our 2 yr. old hamster in someones care while we were away for a wk. We had a heat wave that week, and when we got home she was lethargic and cold to the touch, and had lost weight. This morning her EYE HAD POPPED OUT! I've been making her pasta and eggs since she wasn't eating well. And feeding her water from an eyedropper. Could this all be from dehydration? She was not in a/c for a week while we were gone. Please tell me if anyone has seen this. The last time we took one of our hamsters to the vet it ended up costing us almost $300 and we still ended up putting her to sleep. Can't afford that again! Thanks for any help.

My cat is so cute. He goes to sleep in his favorite spot (In a bookshelf <_<) and I stay at the computer or watching TV for a while. Then, when I get on my bed, my cat wakes up, goes get some water and then jumps on my bed. It's so cute.

But why wake up just to go sleep again with its human?
