Cats like to be near their humans. It's love. Your cat wants to be near you. Take it as a compliment. :-)
My cat doesn't like to be held for more than about 30 seconds, but she does the same thing often. She wants to be in the same room as me, or on my bed for awhile when I go to bed. She also greets me at the door when I come home - but just to say hello, get a quick pet, and then go back to what she was doing.
Funny but true - my cat thinks the hamster and fish are her pets to watch. (The hamster doesn't care - knows it's safe in it's cage.) She got depressed when the previous hamster died of old age and so we got another one to amuse her during the day.

I've heard animal psychologists say that a cat looks at it's humans as part of it's cat family and that the person who takes care of it is like it's mother cat in it's mind so your cat wants to feel safe and comforted by your presence.

the main reason that your cat sleeps on your bed is because your cats loves you very much and like to be near you at all times.
your cat has imprinted that you are there mother and the do the same thing that they are shown to do. so you use computer the cats near you and as you go to sleep your will fallow youthere to be close to you just enjoy it.

Pets are fond of other family members whether its a human or another animal. They just love company when they can get some.
Dogs and cats do like to sleep with their owners when they get into bed. They like to sit with you, eat with you and of course sleep with you too.

Thats cool.My kitten does just the same! but she sleeps on the television stand! So i can see her all the time. And then when my dad goes to sleep, she jumps off and rushes to my dad's bed. Even before my dad gets there, she'll lie at the corner cleaning herself! It sure is cute to watch it all!â¥
I dont know about the why stuff but maybe because she doesnt want to be alone : atleast thats what my dad says!

They nap a lot. Most of that time is short naps. Watch his ears. Even though it looks like the puss is sleeping, he's faking a lot of the time, ears tracking sounds. They store energy that way, part of the survival thing. And they can keep quiet while listening for a target of opportunity. Besides, they like a warm body to cuddle up to.

My cats are the same... they follow me everywhere even when I take a walk to the local store. I draw the line at the bathroom though.

Because he loves you and wants to be near you. Plus he probably likes the heat that comes off of you while you're sleeping.
