A plastic bird with feathers on it ...and a button you turn on to hear it talk and repeat your words. There are Parrots you can buy that do that...and no mess to clean up lol.

Thats a hard question ebing that all the birds I have had has been messy. But there are things you can do to help hut the maintnence down. Seed guards help. Keep a dirt devil handy to suck up molted feathers. If you want a bird that is tame. Spend at least an hour with them daily.
Most birds like baths. You ban get a shower perch and take a shower with your bird daily to help discourage him from playing in his water.
I have had Parakeets, Lovebirds, A sunconure and a green cheek conure. Out of all of them I think my lovebird was the one that I had to clean up after less.

Love Birds, cocktiels, parakeets.... are all in the same maintenance catagory. There is no such thing as a "non-messy" bird. Seed and hulls are going to be strewn around the outside of the cage no matter what you do to try to alleviate it.
LOL, my boyfriend just came up behind me and said the answer is "a chicken", just keep it outside and throw it feed!

i would say a smaller bird like a finch or parakeet. But don't be fooled, these may be low maintenance birds but they sure are loud and annoying!!

A finch is pretty low maintence. They don't like to be held, but they like to be in the same room as their humans. Just give them clean newspaper to poo on everday and clean water and food.
