Honestly, I think you should be happy about it. You should be happy that your dog and your boyfriend have a good relationship. I think you are the one who is jealous. You dun need to.. head up gal! Which one you prefer... having an animals-hater boyfriend, or a an animals-lover boyfriend?
And your dog spends more time with you, not with your BF, so it's normal when your dog is excited to see your BF. Cuz your dog knows, that your BF loves her/him. Your dog just wanna cuddle up. Can you imagine.. how great does it feel to get attentions and love from all??

Dogs do not "love" or "hate"
They have respect and loyalty.

They respect the alpha leader in the pack.
Men have naturally deeper voices and this translates into dominance.
Your boyfriend is getting attention by default.
It is nice that your dog likes your boyfriend (but it is kinda mean of him to rub it in - I'd start rethinking that one), but make sure your dog knows that you are alpha.

When you say that your dog does not love you, you are putting your human emotions on your dog.
They do not think that way, and it is not fair to your dog to expect it to think like you.
While you are busy trying to make your dog "happy" the dog is reading all of this behaviour as "I am treated as alpha - my needs come first".
Maybe your dog does not have the personality to be an alpha and is relieved when your boyfriend comes over so it can turn the job over to him, even if only for a little while.

Start treating your dog like a dog.

My guess would be that you leave food out all day and your dog will eat when it wants to.

My second guess would be that the dog has access to any and all furniture in the house when ever it wants.

What can you do?

First do not leave food out all day.

You feed your dog on your schedule not his.
You put food in the dish, make the dog sit and stay, then he gets his food.
He does not get it until you release him from the stay command.
He gets 20 minutes to eat it.
If he is not finished, to bad the food gets picked up until the next feeding.
If he does not finish it - don't panic, unless your dog has a health issue it will not starve missing a meal or two.

Second, the dog is no longer allowed to just jump on the couch or in your bed.
It must first learn to be comfortable on the floor.
Once he learns that the floor is his place, then you can invite him on the furniture.
There is nothing wrong with inviting him up onto the furniture but there is also nothing wrong with the floor, and that is where he should spend the majority of his time.

When you play with him make sure you are the one who wins.
Tug of war is fine - so long as you are the one who ends up with the tug toy.
Playing fetch is fine, so long as the dog brings it back to you and does not run away with the toy.
One way to train this is put your dog on a leash, toss the toy withing leash range, and when the dog gets the toy in his mouth reel him in giving verbal praise as he gets closer.
If you want to, once he gets to you give him a treat as a reward for giving up the toy.

Dogs don't "love" or "hate", it is a matter of respect, and they are loyal to the people they respect.

You must be consistent.
If you do these things sometimes but not others how will the dog know what is expected of him?
You be consistent and you will get the dog you want, and your dog will be much more content too.

Now for my theory on little dogs.
They are picked up and carried way to often.
Dogs get their confidence from their eye level.
Dogs that are not on the floor do not get to build their confidence.
When being carried around - they get false confidence at your eye level and become bossy pushy little things.
You have just turned your pet into a pest.
The result is you have a dog that pretty much no one likes but you.
Put your dog on the floor, show him that you are alpha and not just making house payments on his oversized doggie house.

You will both be better off for it.

Trust me, I had to learn the hard way.

Good Luck!

dogs in warmth replace lots in personality, except for something, perhaps she only does'nt sense to reliable. Her season could in easy words very last about 21 days so that you have not lengthy to bypass and that i'm certain she will be able to revert to her previous self. Given the way she is behaving it may properly be a reliable idea to have her spayed, highly in case you do not plan to reproduce from her, then you have gotten no mood swings.

Your dog loves you believe me! When visitors come(nice ones) my dogs do the same thing. They are excited over company. Female dogs also seem to like male visitors more , whereas male dogs seem to like female visitors. And all dogs seem to recognize and love relatives(maybe they can smell they are related). When visitors are here, I can hold a piece of chicken out and my dogs won't even come to me!

Don't be sad your pup likes your boyfriend too. Just be glad your pet is outgoing and friendly.

You dog still loves you but maybe your boyfriend plays with your puppy more than you do. He is another person in your puppy's life and don't let it get to you. Smile and be happy!!!

Lol, get over it! If you want the dog to pay more attention to you, then dump you BF or start buying puppy treats.

You sure your BF isn't hiding and doggie treats in his pockets??
Maybe your doggy is just extra excited when you bf comes over because he is someone new to play with as you probably spend a lot more time with your puppy he is just used to you being there

your puppy loves you but is jealous of the boyfriend. Just give it lots of love before the b/f comes over.
