How do I get my socks white when the toes and ankles on them are colored?

I was spray painting the doorway and I got just a bit of back spray on the wood door. The wood has grooves in it and I have no idea how to get it off. Thanks!

We've had this problem before. The smoke detector keeps chirping (LOUDLY) as if the battery is dead. I replace the battery, but it keeps chirping. I hired a guy last time because I was so frustrated, and I think he turned off the power to the house and then turned it back on to resolve the issue. I've tried it myself to no avail. This house was built about 9 years ago. Any help would be appreciated.

I know that it is a job for the pros, but I am just trying to figure out a ballpark price for a prospected remodeling job. The home is just over 1000 sq ft. What did you pay and how long did it take? Did the people who removed it also put up your new siding?

So I had a fire in the kitchen and there is some smoke damage. I pulled off the shelfs and managed to get them all pearly white again. but the built in shelves are harder to clean the same way (I've been using dishwasher soap--gets it off real well!) What can I do to speed up the process I've been cleaning since 7! And I'm so tiredddd!!!

I have a canopy kit and it came with the nails and everything else. However, I am not sure how the landlord would feel about the holes in the ceiling so I was wondering if any one had any alternatives that I could use in place of the nails. Also, if anyone has any other creative yet simple ideas for how to make your own home made canopy, please share. THANKS!

It won't warp or rot, it's termite-proof, and it's lighter than wood. And wood is getting expensive. Commercial building always have steel frames - why not houses? Is the only reason tradition?
