I have a yard with 2 large live oak trees. My land lord has given me permission to redo the yard. I am trying to re-work an area in a corner to make it into a rock garden with cactus varieties and the little oaks keep coming thru. How do I get rid of them? I've pulled them up numerous times and even have a thick layer of gravel in hopes of choking them out. I don't want to use chemicals if at all possible. I have som large variety aloe vera in the same area.

I am trying t find a rural proprty to rent in North Cumbria. We need either 4 bed, 1 reception or 3 bed, 2 reception room. With about 3-5 acres if possible, although we can cope without the land. We have 3 dogs and a cat, but they are all well behaved and we are willing to put down a large deposit. We are not too bothered about the conditition of the house, and as we are looking for a long term let, we are willing to make improvements to the house. Can anyone help?

A few years ago, I had a small buch of Snow Drops in my garden. As time went on, I satarted having lots of of then in different parts of the garden. As snow drops are bulb flowers, it is unlikely that they are moved by birds, although squerrels may be suspects.

My system does not have a header tank its a manual fill, you have to turn on a tap to get the system to maintain its pressure. This is not a problem but two cold radiators are see previous question. How can I put Fernnox or whatever its called into a system that doesnt have a header tap. I live in a flat.

I already wash my clothes in cold water,but I don't use Cold Water Tide.How is Cold Water Tide more effective than using another brand not meant for cold water.Is Cold Water Tide a scam because it is so expensive to buy?

I have two radiators in my system that fail to get hot, one gets luke warm the other stays cold. I have bled them so there is no air in the system. If I undo the pipes water flows through. The rads then get warm but go cold afterwards any suggestions. Pressure in system is fine. Im fed up of being cold in my bedroom.

why when you go in to B&Q and you need to ask a question there is nobody around!! and when you walk round the store looking for some one they say to you " i'm not on that department i will get some one " and they walk away and dont come back!!!!!.... any one else have the same problem???

I have dark hardwood floors, they looked varnished over.. so I can mop them rather well. I moved a piece of furniture and realized my dog had peed there and there was a big dark stain that I can't get out now.

Im curious how can I remove this stain.. there isnt a smell but the dark spot is obvious if you were looking in that direction.

Please help, I don't want to lose my deposit.. anything I can do make it less noticeable if I can't remove it completely?

But mine is dying and pathetic and lifeless?

Theirs is full of flowers and creepers that are brilliant greens, healthy and vibrant, mine, I water every day, give plant food and take care is wilting and browning and dying! Do I care too much? If I water them or if I don't, it's the same result, I don't have green fingers I have POISONED fingers!!! it drives me nuts!

(I'm in a tropical environment, yes my plants are tropical and in other's houses flourish with vigour, but mine? PAH! I'm well sick I tell you) :-(
