The coat is a full length beaver pelt coat. There is no fire damage just smells like smoke.

Well, you can give it a proper burial in your backyard. That will get rid of the smell. Then go out and get a fax fur, they are easer to care for and look better than the real thing now.

No, but really put it in a trash bag with kitty litter, tie it up, and leave it for 24 hours. Kitty litter will soak up the smell (use a good brand, not that store crap).

I would say if you can hang out in the fresh air, also you can buy this OUST it is a freshener spray , I use use it around the house , it get´s rid of smells straight away , they say it can even rid the smell of skunks, that I don´t know as I don´t own one but it is very good. LOOK it up on Internet it by Johnson wax Family company

take it to a fur cleaner and ask for treatment for the smoke smell.

When we had our fire, all clothes (including furs), were taken to the dry cleaner and treated with ozone.
