It's not just my cats, but neighbours as well. I have tried all the usual cat repellents, orange peel, coffee, water filled bottles, etc, but to no avail! Is there any safe way of utilizing the garden such as containers and raised beds but on a larger scale??? We tried netting over it last year but the cats still managed to find their way under it and jumped on top of it. I want to try poly tunnels but they are SO expensive - any ideas????

My friends car was broken into, her dvd player and headrest tv's were stolen. To add more to this nightmare, the thief cut himself and got blood all over the inside of her car. She has leather seats and interior. What is the best product to use to clean all the blood off her interior? We cannot use bleach, but we need something that will kill anything that could be harmful. Please help us!!!!!

We do not have the space to plant a Gooseberry Bush, but have a large patio area which we place pots on. Are Gooseberry Plants able to survive and produce a crop from a container or pot? In which case which type of compost would be best to grow them in and what type of care is required?

My neighbour has recently starting dumping rubbish in my back garden. When I approached him about it he punched me squarely in the face. Obviously I was a bit shocked so I decided to get him back by posting spoons covered in marmite through his letterbox.

He has now started to release badgers into my house through a hole in the connecting loft, is this legal?

The radiators at the top of my house refuse to bleed. They are cold at the top and warm (not hot) at the bottom. When I bleed them air comes out at the start but quickly fizzes out, then nothing no water, no more air, nothing. After this they gurgle for a bit and thats all????
The radiators down stairs are fine, and its fed from a combi boiler.
Any Ideas????
Thanks

Something leaked from a supermarket carrier bag onto my cream kitchen vinyl and now there is a perfect imprint of the bag. I thought a bit of neat thick bleach would lift it no problem but it didn't even touch it. Can anyone help? Thank you

I have just moved into a new house and my monthly utility bills are through the roof!! In my old house I used to pay £30 a month each on the gas and the electric.

My new house is costing a whopping £100 each. The house is slightly larger so there are more radiators but to be fair I have turned off the radiators in the attic conversion as we don't use that room and the heating is on a timer. It comes on 1st thing in the morning before I get up and goes off when I leave for work and comes back on at 5 until 8 in the evening.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have contacted N Power and they say based on the readings the bill is correct. The radiators appear to be fairly new although the pipework looks like it could be the original stuff as it is behind the walls. The boiler is a back boiler and as it is behind the fireplace I have no idea on its age.

Does anyone know of a company in Bristol that can come and check your energy efficiency?

I have had the water heater replaced 3 times and it now is acting up again.
I have a 6 year old home.
50 gallon gas hot water heater... Bradford White.

When the water heater is new, the upper floor master bath shower needs to be set to about half way for the right temperature.
As the months go by, the setting gets further and further to the left, and after only 10 minutes or so, you have to start making it hotter almost as if you are running out of hot water... but no one has used the hot water in several hours.

When you run the hot water, it takes in excess of 5 minutes for the TP valve to shut off and stop draining hot water from the water heater to the drain. There is a copper-colored drip stain on the side of the water heater from the TP valve, but this water heater was only installed 6 months ago or so.

We discovered that the setting for the temperature on the water heater was way up, but even after turning it down to 120 degrees, we still have the same problem.
There is a small amount of calcium buildup around all of the sinks in the house that have brass fittings.
The water heater is in the basement and the master bath is on the 2nd floor of a two story house.
We have city water. The pressure seems to be about right... not too high, not too low.
The hot and cold water lines are correct to the water heater.
The water heater is the correct unit for an indoor natural gas set up.
None of the other showers/faucets seem to have this issue.
There are only two people living in the 6000 square foot house… myself and my wife. My wife takes approximately a 15-20 minute shower and mine are usually about 10-12 minutes.
