I know dactylifera means finger bearing, but what about this palm makes it "finger bearing?" Is it the fronds? The way the fruit hangs?

Every month I get an $80-$100 bill for electricity based on these utilities.
I need enough electricity to run:
1) 2 lights minimum at night (special light bulbs may help here)
2) 1 refrigerator...large enough to store 2 days worth of food minimum...a large car-plug-in A/C-outlet cooler at smallest
3) However many mini-A/C/heating units are needed (I am guessing at least 2 of the type from Wal-Mart (not the full Window-sill type))

What's the best price (estimated, of course) to pay 6 months utilities cost + get enough equipment to do this using either:

1) Solar power (may need an AC/DC power inverter) + another power source at night (or battery, which ever is cheaper)...is the equipment (where is the best place to buy this equipment and what type of equipment do I need)?
2) A private electric company (side question: which ones are best?)
3) A public electric company
4) A gas or natural gas powered generator
5) Any other arrangement you can think of

I just used the small load cycle on my washer and put not even a half a cap full of bleach into the container on the side. My basement smells like bleach. The only ventilation we have is the door to the upstairs. What do i do? Is it bad to spend time in my den downstairs while the smell is there? Are there any major health risks? If my clothes come out of the dryer and smell like bleach how should i get it out?

Our house got struck by lightning, and our TV is now damaged. Is it worth repairing or should we throw it away? The TV cost us about $150.

I am writing on behalf of a seventeen year old living on benefits and EMA. Flat is big and has overnight storage heaters, it is literally baltic, she can only afford £10 per week on her key meter and the storage heaters eat up far too much of her £10.00. If she switched off the storage heaters totally, Would a halogen heater be more economical for her or a calor gas heater (if they are still available) ?Thanks

Ok So my mom is looking at a very small house to rent. The rooms are very small and are painted very bright shades of pink, blue, and yellow. There is a room in the tiny basement that has blue-ish turquoise concrete floors and i'm not sure abut the walls. I would like help on how to decorate this small space without spending a lot of money??

Also, I know that buying a lot of primer to repaint the blue, pink, and yellow walls is going to cost quite a bit... Is there anything else to do? Please Help. They painted the ceilings the samse colors as the walls! The pink room also has pink carpet! Me and my sister are both in high school, so the decorating for those rooms shouldn't be very little girl like. Please Help!

Thanks

when they were approx. 2" tall (like it said to do on the pkg.)
The carrots look fine this morning but the broccoli stems look like wet noodles. Did I lose the broccoli? What did I do wrong?
This is my first garden. I have made a raised bed outside to grow the new vegs. If it got too cold, wouldn't the carrots look bad too?
