im trying to take the back off but the two bolts that hold each side of the back of the toilet to the bowl part are so incredibly rusted that i cant get anything on them, not a wrench or anything they are just rusted mush. so do i cut them with a sawsall or what?

the nut may have rusted but the bolt is suppose to be made of brass(fairly soft) So I would use a hacksaw blade (by itself)inserted between the tank and the bowl and cut the bolt. Slow but sure. Otherwise you chance breaking the ceramic.

I would use a hacksaw. Work the blade in between the tank and bowl. It will be slower than a saws-all, but safer. With a saws all you risk cracking the tank or bowl.

Saw them off. They are brass which is real soft. They will cut real easy.

Hack saw from the bottom. Be careful. they should be brass????

only way is to cut em or grind em off
