when they were approx. 2" tall (like it said to do on the pkg.)
The carrots look fine this morning but the broccoli stems look like wet noodles. Did I lose the broccoli? What did I do wrong?
This is my first garden. I have made a raised bed outside to grow the new vegs. If it got too cold, wouldn't the carrots look bad too?

Were you planning to transplant the carrots? Probably not a good idea. If it was good weather and well above freezing temps they should be ok. Maybe the broccoli is just in shock, I bet they come back. If they turned black that means that they froze and are dead. Good luck on your garden!!

Sounds like your broccoli got to cold.. Carrots seem to stand the cold a bit more. LOL I live in Canada too... I wouldn't dream on putting any plants out yet.

Oh dear, if I started veggies inside and took them outside today; they would be totally gone and noodled out.
Oh wait, I live in Canada and there's still 7" of snow on my garden... sorry...

:)

It is better to start your garden indoors, you git better results for less money.
