We are currently redecorating our kitchen and we just got a new tap. As far as I'm concerned it is hooked up properly...it works, water comes out. However the water that it produces tastes awful, like rubber or something. Even when boiled the water from the tap still tastes bad. The bad water is only coming from that new tap, all the others in the house are fine. My question is, is this normal when fitting a new tap? Will the bad taste go away after it has been used a while?

My fiance and I just bought our first house and are trying to decide on a refrigerator. We measured and we have 70" H and 38" W to work with. I'm looking at a 20.5 cubic foot fridge that is 66.5" H and 29.5" W. My fiance thinks that over 8 (about 4 on each side) inches is going to be too much extra space and look weird (plus the few inches at the top). He thinks we need something that is at least 32-33" wide so that there are only 2-3 inches on each side.

Opinions?

We just recently bought a set of satin sheets and while they are very comfortable, the top sheet keeps sliding off of the bed and taking our comforter with it! Is there some sort of trick or product I can get to keep it from doing this? I didn't know where else to post this, so I hope someone can help!

Just moved in a new home. I have a gas washer and dryer then. It seems like they're just not hooked up into the wall. I can figure out how to plug them in, but is there an easy way to hook the rest up so I can use them tonight?

I discovered I had mice when I left a pineapple out overnight after I bought it at the grocery store. In the morning, I discovered that a hole had been gnawed through the rind and I noticed some droppings. The next day I disinfected my entire kitchen and set out glue mouse traps. In the past two weeks, I have been keeping my kitchen immaculate and have caught two adult mice and one baby mouse. I can't tell where they are coming from. How do I know how many mice I really have? Should I call and exterminator?

A friend of mine has a house and it is going to be wrecked unless I find a way to save it. Who can I call? I have no $ so it would have to be some kind of project. I know there was something on some channel about it but I can't remember. Can anyone refresh my memory? Thanks

I have a contract on a house I am wanting to buy. When I had the house inspected, I was told that some of the wiring is not grounded. I want to ask the seller to fix this and I am just wondering how expensive it is to ground wiring?

I'm kinda lost when it comes to electrical so bare with me....my electrical box is in my garage and whenever a fuse trips, it moves the switch in the box and all I have to do is move the switch back over and whalllah..it's fixed, but no switches are moved and it seems like a "grid" is out in the back of the house....back porch and backyard motion lights do not work....can the actual electrical box that the circuit breakers go into somehow be broken or something? What could it be?

I'm trying to find curtains for my dining area. My livng room is called a "great room" and the dining area is in another room but the two are not seraprated by a wall. My carpet is a very light, but now white carpet, more of a light tan. My couches are a dark olive green and the furniture is a light rustic brown. Now, I need to find curtains what color would look good? Patterns or solids are good. Any good ideas appriciated!!!!!!!

the iron was too hot when I put it on my red pant and it left a shiny shadow, does anyone know how I can take it off. The pant is part of a beautiful suit that is practically new and I would hate to let go of it. Thanks
