if theyve done blooming then just cut off the flower stem but do not remove any of the leaves (they are critical for the bulbs to gather enough energy for next springs blooms). If its still freezing at night where you live, then place the pot on a sunny windowsill and do not water anymore. wait until the leaves are withered and brown, then remove them and plant the bulbs out doors in a sunny spot about 8 " deep. they may send up a few leaves this year but will not flower again until next spring. If they do send up a few leaves, do not cut the leaves off until they have dried up.
If the days are above freezing you could put the pot outdoors in the sun during the warmest hours of the day then bring them in at night.
do not try to save the bulbs out of the ground over the summer--they will dry up or rot--they need to be put underground.

I would say let them bloom in the pot and die off. Dig them out, and save the bulbs and plant them again in late fall. Spring-flowering bulbs like tulips must be planted in the fall or early winter to bloom in spring because they require a long period of cool temperatures to spark the biochemical process that causes them to flower. Also, they have to be planted in the ground before it freezes so it can have time to develope strong roots! Good luck!

you can't plant them until this fall. Tulips will die if you replant them while in bloom. In the fall plant them and you will get beautiful flowers next spring.
