We've just finished a kitchen renovation and we were stunned to find that all of our hard work tracking down good Ikea cabinets & appliances is essentially wiped out by a 20% "owner-supplied materials" costs. What on earth is THAT??

Actually, some years ago, by mistake once I touched the backside rods of a refrigerator and got shocked. I am not sure whether that was due to some fault in the refrigerator or every refrigerator has that risk. Till then I never dared to touch the backside rods of a refrigerator.

If your answer is yes, then tell me how much shock does the person experience. Does he die or get paralysed or get a big shock or just have a minor shock. Give complete details.

I have a heat pump, fan wont stop running even after turning thermostat to the off position. It will shut down by cutting all power by throwing the breaker.
While in the off position, I threw the breaker back on, Fan did not come on till I turned it on at the thermostat. Once I turned it on, I could not turn it off.
Heat & Air do work, it's just that the fan runs constantly.
Could this be a faulty thermostat? Or is there something in the outside unit that could cause this?

I have a flourescant tube light, powered simply by a length of cable with a 5amp fuse and plug, switched on and off at a wall socket. If I want to introduce a 'pull cord' type switch next to the tube on the ceiling, how do I do it? The switch has a 1 way a 2 way and a com connectors. I have a feeling this is very simple and I am just not thinking straight, any help, gratefully recieved, Thanx.

I'm working in a decorative chrome-plating industry, not (hard-chrome). I usually take service job of chrome-plating banquet chairs, wheel rims, mufflers, etc. Sometimes, the chrome-plating result is not as stable/constant in quality or satisfactory as I had expected (not shiny enough or not rust-resistant enough). So I need something to measure the quality by putting up a standard, which I hope that this measurement tool (if any) would help me.
