I'm absolutely not sure, about what it is.
We cant detect exactly where its coming from, but it sounds louder in the bathroom and the basement, and the bathroom, is right above the basement, obviously, and i was wondering what could cause such a phenomenon.

I put some puddles of ammonia on my laminate (fake wood) flooring. Where I put the puddle down it turned brown. Almost looks like I stripped it. What do I do? Can I put something over the brown to make it look better?

I am attempting to finish off my basement cheaply (try pub style). Right now there is old ugly tile on the ceiling that is ripped out in a few spots but in tact for the most part. A friend was telling me about a paint (that you can't buy at Home Depot) that I can spray on the ceiling tiles to make it all black and give it a metallic finish, in addtion to spraying it on the various ducts and pipes that would provide a bit of insulation. Does anyone know of this paint and where I might find it? Or, does anyone have a better idea (no drop ceilings please)? Thanks!

In an apartment, the stoves are always too close to the wall and do not have divider cabinetry. Therefore, the paint is bubbling up. It is unsighly and I fear unsafe. I plan to strip away the bubbled paint, first. I've bought a 2x2 piece of styrene (clear) to cover the wall with. I don't want ugly nails to demark my concept. However, I'm uncertain how to attach it.

My house is open, we have a living/diningroom painted yellow, hardwood floors, and very nice dark beige curtains. Nice neutral colors, the familyroom and kitchen are one open space as well so I'm painting the back rooms sage and again my tones are neutral (furniture) so what color should I buy my blinds or curtains? I have 3 separate windows not too big not too small. The sun is out there so please help. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

I'm fitting a new bath and was just wondering if it would be best to build a frame around it for additional support and also to stop the seal from cracking.

I connected the solar cell that would run a small motor. I figured it would turn the base on. I connected the positive to the base of the transistor and the negative to the ground of the breadboard. The power for the LED is a 9volt battery with a 200 ohm transistor going in the collector and out the emitter to the ground of breadboard. nothing!!!

I have a well-loved, but 16 year old Maytag dryer. It works fine except that if I open the door (when it's running), it trips the breaker. This is new behavior, it's worked fine until now. It's too expensive to get a repair person for a dryer this old, but I don't want to fill the landfill, if I can avoid it. Any ideas out there?

I recently replaced a leaking flapper valve inside my toilet. Now when I flush the toilet I have to hold the flushing handle on the outside of the toilet down in order for it to finish flushing, when usually all you have to do is depress it and release it for it to flush. How do I fix it so it does this again and I don't have to hold it down until the bowl finishes flusing?
