My house is open, we have a living/diningroom painted yellow, hardwood floors, and very nice dark beige curtains. Nice neutral colors, the familyroom and kitchen are one open space as well so I'm painting the back rooms sage and again my tones are neutral (furniture) so what color should I buy my blinds or curtains? I have 3 separate windows not too big not too small. The sun is out there so please help. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

Instead of color, why not pick out wooden blinds for the windows? I have a similar floor plan, and we have really nice wooden blinds, they can accent your hard-wood floors nicely.

My kitchen is sage as well and the wood blinds looks great in the windows.

Wood blinds would be nice...they'll match the hard wood floors and will do a good job of blocking the sun when needed. They're classy looking too.
I just did a search on the web to try to find a picture of what I was talking about (I don't endorse this company...it's just a picture.) Those fabric blinds at the bottom look nice to and you could match them to the fabric on your furniture. http://www.blinds.com/control/product/productID,8251
Happy decorating!

I love sage - good choice. I would buy the blinds or curtains in a lt. cream color or white, depending on what color your wood trim is.

I would do dark wood blinds, or shutters in a wood tone, or for drapes, use a terracotta color with some sort of pattern, though i would do the wooden blinds or shutters

You have a nice home! I think wooden blinds would be great and linen curtains are nice and classy.Instead of coloured curtains, add more greens(plants),cut flowers in clear glass vase and add nice, colourful cushions.
It keeps the room clean and simple yet "snazzy" with some coloured accents.

Buy wood blinds that match your hardwood floor. This will keep everything in harmony.
