If that's what you need to do and you have the finances to do so....go for it.
But instead of throwing away the old stuff, if anything can be used please donate it.

Don't be wasteful, but if something is broken or worn beyond it's useful life, then discard it. If it's in working condition but not acceptable to you, donate it to Goodwill or a similar charitable organization that will either resell it or give it to someone less fortunate.
However, if something can be repaired (without it costing more than it would to replace), or cleaned up and be fine then don't toss it out. We've become such a "disposable" society and waste far more than we should.
Evaluate everything and sort through it. Things that are unusable garbage should be taken out to the trash bin. Things that are suitable for donation should be set aside and when you get a carload, take them to the charity. Things that can be fixed/cleaned and kept should be put in another area to work on as you have time.
Good luck!

It really depends on what is broken and your budget. take it slow so that your pocket doesnt hurt very much. Start with the essentials and then you can go to some store like Marshalls and buy some decorations that are really not that expensive.

You could try selling or donating some of that stuff. I wouldn't throw it away just yet. But yeah, if you're getting tired of your dilapidated furniture, and you have the money, by all means, replace it.

Toss what's bad and keep what's good. Once you start you will find that you can't stop. Just make sure what you are getting rid of is of no value to you. Because once the garbage man comes and hauls it away....you can't get it back.

Just a word of wisdom from a service tech. Nothing you buy is as good as the one you got rid of. If it works, keep it.

if anything can be repaired then i would try that first (as that might be cheaper)---try fresh paint on the walls, revarnishing wooden items, new flooring.....
if things are in shambles then replace them by all means---but, this can be a bit rpicy so shop around

It does seem wastefull. Try donating the stuff to Goodwill or go to freecycle.com to see if anything is in your area.
