I have never had this problem before and I have lived in this house for 21 years. I do not believe they are carpenter ants. They are like the little black ones you see when the spring weather starts.

I'm pretty sure that grubs killed part of my lawn late last summer. Will they live through the winter and then keep killing my lawn this spring/summer? What can I do to get those dead spots growing again?

I've fogged extra heavily, sprayed daily with a chemical from the feed mill even mixing it stronger than directed and nothing has fazed them. It hasn't even stopped them for a day. Occasionally I see them in the two rooms on either side of the kitchen, but for the most part, that's where they are concentrated. They are very bold and come out on the counter and stove while I'm cooking!!!(Gross and so embarrassing!!) I emptied all cabinets when spraying so I know the areas have been well covered but the problem seems to only worsen. Any suggestions???

Last summer was everything nice and even. Now, there are long gaps between boards. Is it cause winter or just luck of routine maintenance.
Thanks,

I've had a Queen size bed for about 8-9 years. The mattress has started sagging in the middle, regardless of how we rotate it. I think it's time for a new one! But the box spring underneath seems fine. Do I need to replace that too?

I have 3 dogs. I need to fence in part of my yard so they won't run loose. My husband was given several rolls of chain link fencing. What do I need to buy in order to anchor the fence to the ground? What kind of time frame should I plan for this to take? Will my husband and I be able to complete it or will he need additional help? Will this project involve concrete?
Thanks, y'all...

I am looking for 2 shower curtains. One for my 2 year old son's bathroom and one for the bathroom in our master suite.
And I'm looking for a cool bedspread for the master.
I saw a gorgeous bed set by Michael Kors online.......$719! My husband would kill me if I bought that? Any inexpensive ideas are much appreciated!!!!!!!!

When purchasing our home, we preferred to buy within a fairly new sub-division. However, we saw plenty of beautiful homes that were not within a planned sub-division. When looking at the possibility of buying a home, would any of you have a preference of either living in a sub-division or not and why?

I am repainting a laundry room and had to patch some gouges. After doing so, I primed with Kilz premium. The original paint was a flat finish and after painting with a Behr eggshell finish I find that the primed areas stand out with a glossier sheen than the rest of the wall. Is there a way to eliminate this without having to prime the whole wall as I have a couple of other rooms to do as well and would rather not have to go thru all that trouble. Perhaps painting the primed areas with a flat finish first and then recoating with the eggshell? Or maybe just scuff sand the areas after painting to reduce the sheen? Hope someone can help!! Thanks, Paul

I am convinced my washing machine eats socks.
Some years ago I had occasion to clear a blockage in the outlet pipe of my washing machine, the cause of the blockage was a rather bent spoke adjusting key, odd coins and a SOCK! Even in a new home with a new washing machine, my friendless sock pile grows and I keep having to buy more pairs.

The problem is, I DO know. Smoking astro turf doesn't give you the same high. Should I confront her and risk a fight? Or should I just buy some more weed and hide it better next time?
