Left a filing cabinet on Berber carpet and it left rust stains. Help me get them out.

Oxi Clean is the best! I used it on a year old rust stain I had on my nearly white carpet and it took it away just like on the commercial.

I would try lemon juice, it works wonders. Here's a step by step from eHow. Hope it helps!!

* STEP 1: Try to scrape off as much of the rust as you can with a dull utility knife blade.

* STEP 2: Saturate the entire stain with lemon juice (fresh-squeezed or bottled) sprayed from a spray bottle.

* STEP 3: Allow the juice to remain for at least 5 minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes.

* STEP 4: Blot the stain with a white paper towel. Do not rub the stain in.

* STEP 5: Use liquid dishwashing detergent on the stain if the lemon juice doesn't do the trick. Thoroughly mix about 1/4 tsp. detergent with 1 quart of water.

* STEP 6: Apply the detergent mixture to a clean, damp, white towel and gently blot the solution into the stained area until the stain is removed.

* STEP 7: Spray water onto the area with a spray bottle and blot until the detergent solution and water are gone.

* STEP 8: Allow the carpet to dry thoroughly before vacuuming.
