I know I have to clean them periodically, but is there anything I can do to cut down on the amount of dust building up ceiling fan blades? Any techniques you use that has been successful?

Absolutely!

Next time you dust the, shine them with paste car wax. Buff the polish. Everytime you turn on the fan after that, the dust that has accumulated there will just fly off.

get on a ladder with a micro-fiber sprayed with pledge or different polish. wipe the fan blades at the same time as attempting to seize all the airborne dirt and mud interior the rag. once you've bumped off virtually all the airborne dirt and mud, then do the detailing and body of the fan. use a great number of polish to save the airborne dirt and mud from getting airborne.

The best way to keep dust from falling to the floor is to not pay your gravity bill for 90 days. Then they will shut off your gravity and all the dust will float toward the ceiling.

After you clean again next year, wipe them with dryer sheets. That's supposed to help.

if possible, try to keep them on low when you go out, if you don't mind leaving them on, at least their moving and not colecting dust.
