use cold with things that say cold, warm w/ warm, etc.................so does that mean you separate clothing by colored and white, and cold and warm? i'm just wondering because i've always been doing laundry separated by colored and whites. cold w/ white and warm for colored. is that normal? i read some people do 40 loads of laundry a week!!! that's insane!!

I don't keep exactly to the labels. This is what I usually do:
Separate into light and dark. Turn the large dark items inside-out. Use regular non-bleach laundry detergent. Use regular fabric conditioner. Use the regular washing machine cycle with warm water wash and cold water rinse. Use the dryer on normal cycle.
I do have some items that I wash on different cycles or by hand and dry on the line.
If I'm living somewhere where I can save money and hang stuff outside to dry in the warm dry weather, then I will.

I always wash everything in cold. And I just separate whites and colored. The only thing I use the label for is if the clothing can go in the dryer or not.

ok dude.. before everything do no longer do the whites first. Do those final. First do the darker hues (like dark blue, black) in actuality something that declares wash in cool or chilly water. Wash that first. Use a sturdy detergent like Tide or Cheer (surf leaves some residue! i do no longer use it anymore). for laundry I generally enable the washer fill up a million/2 way with the cleansing soap and the water previously I placed the clothing in. in simple terms persist with the cycle and while it gets to rinse (you will hear the water initiate dropping interior the washer) put in the Downey (softener) in while pertaining to to the tank fills up a million/2 way back. Then enable run by way of and could be accomplished in a couple of minutes. After that throw it interior the dryer, use a sort of lint issues (bounce) and dry it...yet be careful to no longer placed the means of the drying device too intense for coloration outfits as which could make the colour fade a lot quicker..placed it in comfortable or conventional...in simple terms repeat for the warmth kind outfits (it is going to say on the tag the two chilly, heat or warm) and for the nice and comfortable (that's generally the whites) never use bleach for coloration outfits! Your outfits will turn white in basic terms use bleach on white outfits that declares you need to use bleach....even in the experience that your shirt or pants are white do no longer anticipate it truly is an computerized white outfits study the tag...considerable...properly that would desire to be it...in simple terms make beneficial to no longer over dry the clothing or they fade (the colours) for the whites it would not truly count variety (via fact that maximum are below clothing like underclothes and socks... cgminime..beneficial..for a cost :P

Whites get hot water (remember the phrase white-hot) and colors get cold water (c- colors, cold). They get different temperatures because the wrong temperature can alter or ruin the colors on fabrics. It really is best to follow the labels.

I would do it in reverse and use warm with white and cold with colors. If in doubt, cold is better but I think the drying instructions are the most important. Most say 'tumble dry low' but some say 'line dry only'. Don't ya just hate it when they shrink!!

No, I go by what I think is right. Like- whites and towels get hot water- simply because hot water cleans better. Colored clothes get cold water so that the color doesn't come out and so they won't shrink once I put them in the dryer!

Lol no I hardly ever read the labels unless its something new and I really love it and want to make sure its okay. I'll usually do what you do and just throw them in - heck sometimes I dont even bother separating them if they're old and wont mix colors anymore.

I wash all colors in cold (light and dark) and all whites, sheets, and towels in hot. That's the only separating I do.

I never go by the labels. I just throw them all in on regular cycle, all colors, all fabrics, etc.

The ones that come out are the strong ones, and the weak ones get thrown out.

GRRROWLLL!!!!!!
