Baking Soda, not Baking Powder.

Definitely bicarbonate of soda. Once you have washed it out with the baking soda water, keep a cup full of dry soda in the back of the fridge to absorb odors. Change the soda once every month or so. When you throw the old soda out, pour it down a drain and add a half cup of white vinegar. Let stand 15 minutes before rinsing with water and your drain will be clean.

Both would work but Bicarb is the probably more commonly used. Bicarbonate of soda is called Baking Soda...and it absorbs odors. Baking Powder is a mix of several alkalais, including bicarbonate of soda with other salts and starch and stuff. You can also use Fuller's Earth, crumbled up newspaper (takes longer), or bars of old soap to absorb the odor in a fridge.

The 3 cleaning products I couldn't live without are:

1.Baking Soda (a great working cleaning product that is so inexpensive).

2.Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

3. Chore boy scrubbies.

So definately baking soda for that smelly fridge! If there are marks in there that you just can't get out use a mr. clean magic eraser, it is sure to work!

Bicarb
If you want to deoderise your carpet (Im not saying it needs it I wouldnt know lol but I am sure it doesnt) mix some bicarb with lemon juice and let it dry out for a couple of days. Sprinkle it ontop the floor, wait 15 mins, then vacuum it up. Citrus fresh cleaner carpets.
To clean the fridge, Bicarb in some water spread it around and wipe off. This way I find it tackles really tough stains and gets rid of the odour. Again add lemon juice for a citrus smell.

They even have a box that's made for the fridge and gives the baking soda the maximum exposure to suck out the smell.

Bicarbonate of soda (Baking soda).

Baking powder has baking soda in it, but since it has other things as well, it would leave a sticky mess behind.

Bicarbonate of soda works well. Once the fridge is clean, buy a deodorising 'egg' from any hardware shop and put it in the fridge, you won't have a smelly fridge any more! (You still have to clean it every week though!)

Bicarbonate of soda, marvellous to have in the house for cleaning, stains and smells, as well as medicinal and first aid.
