not normaly providing you have another door as a means of escape ..but check with local building control as the kitchen is a high risk area when i say another way out .i dont mean the front door

As long as its not an exit door I don't think there is any problem with blocking the door. Most permission is needed when its a structural thing. Like taking out something that retains weight or can be seen by other people ect. But if you want to be sure call your building permit office and ask. Good Luck

No you shouldn't need planning permission.
However if you were putting in a window or a new door then you might as there are rules about how many opening a property can have as a percentage of the house...something to do with conserving heat.
Make sure that you put in a ventilation air brick as you will be losing some ventilation once the door is gone.

ps if you are still unsure just phone the planning department at your council and ask them if you need to submit plans... i'm 100.'/. sure they;ll say no.

hi if it was in side shh keep quite if out side and if you can see it from the street yes i would check are you removing the door completely then you would have to get permits
