ok I'm cleaning up the G.F grill, I didn't have any problems cleaning the grill part (with soap and water), but how do you clean the outside side, as its a little discolored, what will help make it a little more white? We are giving it to a family member, so I'm cleaning it up.

Will it make it easier to dig up the roots and will it affect the grass surrounding it? How long would I need to wait before being able to grow new grass in that area?

I've had problems with lights blowing out after only a day or a few weeks at the most. I also have a room where the lights go out a few seconds after they are switched on. Will my service upgrade fix some of this, all of this?

Will I be able to run more high-powered devices/appliances at once? What are the obvious and identifiable benefits of this upgrade?

Also, will I only receive the benefits when my utility comes to connect the line on my street to my upgraded service? My contractor made it sound like the line I have from my street right now might already have 200amps. If so, is there any way a lay person can test or confirm this? I know the work was done, I was just hoping to be able to notice the difference.

We have just been told the the copper tubing between the air handler in the attic and outside compressor unit has a leak and needs to be replaced, at a cost of over $2,000.00.

We will have another opinion, but if there is a leak in the tubing, is replacement our only option? Is there possibly a leak sealant that can be injected instead.

Help!

The supplier says they are used all the time and should be ok. The plumber is hesitant. If I don't use them I have to spend more money buying other fixtures.

I have noticed a slight smell of gas coming from the burners when I have my gas range on. Is this normal? There is no smell when the burners are off. This is a fairly new gas range.

I have a Closet that's about 5 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 5 feet high. Now this closet is built into the room, so I'm thinking since I don't have much clothing, I can throw the clothes under the bed in drawers and have space for something in my closet! Now I want to go with something in touch with technology. I'm going to put my Shark rack (Network Rack with a couple of routers and switches) in there, so it should take about 1/3 of the width. I am pondering on having a stereo system in there? Or perhaps something else? Any ideas?

My boyfriend just bought a $3500 set of Roland Electric Drums but it vibrates the floor. Making the neighbors not too happy. We live in a townhome that is connected on both sides. There is a crawl space that is 4feet tall underneath the apartment. It's not so much that you can hear the drums, we have headphones hooked up instead of an amp, it's just the vibration throuth the floor. Any sound proofing ideas?

my dad knew how to do everything but there was one thing i always wanted to learn. my dad and his brothers know how to remodle rooms knock down wall and remodle rooms, they never went to school for that or anything. i've always been interested on how to remodle a room like a basement or a kitchen, but here the sad part my dad is in prison. i remember as a little kid he would always want to teach me how to do what he does but i was always worried about playing outside. this past year my aunt got her bathroom remodled by home dopt and they knocked down walls took everything put knew walls up and it looked so nice so then i decided i wanted to do the same thing they were doing as a career or at least a side job. does anybody know if there is schooling for that or does anybody know the name of that career

We are painting our upper kitchen cabinets a cream color and our lower cabinets black. All of our hardware on doors and drawers are 3" pulls. We got a great deal on flat black hinges, so we bought enough for the whole kitchen.

With the hinges unifying the cabinets, could we get away with using cream colored pulls on the black cabinets and black pulls on the cream colored cabinets?

If you think we should use the same color hardware on both sets of cabinets, what color could we use that goes with cream and black paint and black hinges?

Thanks for your help!
