They look like lady bugs, but have a strong odor. The have invaded my house. These bugs were actually flown in to get rid of the gypsy moth problem and now we are infested with these. I live in Virginia, and I have heard others in the state are having a problem with them as well. Please someone help me get rid of these bugs.

good luck! We had them in NW Ohio for several years and no one, that I know of, found a way to keep them out of their home. I would think that spraying the outside of your home with insecticide, (Sevin), might help. Also, caulking the places they sneak into. If you have certain areas where you see them, a lot; put down some sticky mouse traps, (works great for spiders too) We used a sweeper to collect ours. Every day, one of us would tour the house and sweep up all that we could see. The good news is that they live on aphids and they will eventually lower the aphid population, in your area, to the point where there populations drops too. We hardly ever see them any more.
