ok I'm cleaning up the G.F grill, I didn't have any problems cleaning the grill part (with soap and water), but how do you clean the outside side, as its a little discolored, what will help make it a little more white? We are giving it to a family member, so I'm cleaning it up.

There are a variety of commercial grade degreasers and cleansers and I am sending you the Palmolive/Ajax website. I think that you will not be able to buy this from the grocery store but perhaps can buy a small container from a friend who owns a restaurant or a coffee shop.

use straight bleach on a dish cloth and wipe it up. The discoloration may be from the heat of the grill. You can still make it look clean by bleaching it. If you can find it, there is a product (I used as a kid to keep mom's white kithen cabinets white) called "jubalee" I have not been able to find it. It would be at a hardware store, like Ace, or maybe a cabinet shop might know. It would actually take out the discoloration. It was like a polish. Wipe it on with damp cloth and buff with dry cloth.

Lestoil cleans anything. Probably hard to get it white again, though. The discoloration might be from heat.

a basic oven and grill cleaner usually works. I use the simple green brand because not as harsh chemicals and easier on painted surfaces

ammonia water is a great grease cutter and cheap. Lemon scent ammonia cuts the nasty smell.
