Just moved into a new house. Everything is fine except in one bathroom there is no hot water in the sink or shower. Seems so strange ... what do I do?

go to the sink and turn on the hot, then the cold water. If you get water from each, then turn on the hot and let it run for 10 mins ior until it gets hot. It may be reversed (hot cold) or a water saver on the shower head can take a real long time to clear the pipes if it's at the far end of the house or on the 3rd floor etc.

Once it gets hot, turn on the shower. New construction houses are required to install water savers so it may throw you off.

Everything in your house should be under warranty for at least a year, if the contractor is decent. The plumber likely tied the hot water line into the cold for the bathroom in question.
