I have found black spiders running on the ground of my new apartment from time to time (7 in two months!) that look suspiciously like black widows from what I have seen. I know nothing about this, and cannot read up on them because the pictures online with the sites make me hyperventilate and sick. I am terrified of spiders, but since I have only seen them scattering on the floor, I have the courage to squash them with shoes (better dead than not knowing where they are). I still can't stand pictures. PLEASE, PLEASE help! I need info on what these spiders are. (BTW, I live in NC).

A telescoping device will not work because the pot lights are not compatible with a suction device. Are their any recommended scaffolding or ladders?

I want to learn how to sew...I will need a sewing machine and I want a very basic, old style model. for some reason I think it would be best to learn on something very basic. One that is manual?

something like 50-100-200 years ago style....NOT VINTAGE, just simple....but that is inexpensive and will last a long time and not mess up my fabric. I want to master a simpler machine and develope skills and a few years down the line get a more modern one.

but for now, I would like a basic sewing machine. Can anyone reccomend one? It doesn't have to be by brand...I would rather go by price, and then simple model, then brand or whatever.

thanks

I've never had to put one together before. Right now in our room we have the mattress and the thing that goes underneath it that has springs all over it. It's pretty low....what else is it supposed to have ....a bed rail? I want a bed thats pretty high. And when I stayed at a hotel recently they had something that went all the way around the bed, like wooden and their bed was pretty high. Clue me in please?

We have a rather bad mold problem and live in a humid area of the country. Our windows are always covered in moisture unless the sun comes out and dries them off. We get mold in the corners of the ceiling adjancent to the outside. Would a dehumidifier help fix this? How much does one cost?

What's the general rule for indoor tropical palms and whatever those tall, skinny, cheap, green palm-looking plants you find at grocery stores? Lots of water, less water....lots of sun....less direct sun... ..what?!

I want to decorate my room with black/dark brown modern furniture and I would like to have a bluish color on my walls.

Could you give me a suggestion on what type of blue color I should pick?

It would also be great if I could use brown, gray, white, and other blue accents with it.

And should I paint the whole room or just one wall?

see the thing is... I have this rather huge inflatable couch. It got punctured recently and I can't seem to find the hole from which it is leaking from. Anyone with the same experience? Perhaps you could help me with this task.

I am trying to fix my grandma's shower. The showerhead itself is leaking a varying small to larger amount of water through the tiny holes in the top. I took out the entire faucet and replaced the handles, showerhead, and put new plumbing fixtures in. The showerhead is STILL leaking water out of it. It has all new washers, new teflon tape, new everything but is still leaking out of the spray holes. I have tried to adjust the water pressure under the house from the main water supply but even that is not helping. Lots of details will get you BEST ANSWER and my undying respect.

I am an old man that spends more time looking for things, than I do, doing things. And I thought of this Idea. If I had a Utility belt with the basic cleaning supplies. Like windex, cleaning rags, Etc. I could get more done as I walk around in this fog of mine trying to find things. I see alot of other things I need to do. But that would envole another search to locate the tools for that job which means I have to stop......What was I donig? So what should I put in my tool belt?

I have 8 cedar birdhouses in my yard. Recently, after 2 years of hanging peacefully in the trees, I noticed that something has eaten around the holes - openings in them all, obviously something with teeth or a sharp beek. We have mice, squirrels and woodpeckers around here in winter -- any ideas what has done this? I am guessing it was maybe the woodpecker, that they make the hole larger so they can use the box to nest in themselves?
