Would cucumbers work? Or red bell peppers? How about eggplant or zucchini?

honestly jsut about everything can work jsut as long as u dont use heavy fruiters such as watermelon, honeydew, cantelope..
If you want big veggies.. then i wouldn't suggest it.. banana peppers, or well any type of peppers would work.. just as long as u dont let it get too heavy with fruits (well actually veggies) let your immagination wonder.. and have fun!

Oh in case if your wonderin.. i've tried it with cucumbers.. and its a great way to get to all of those lil pickles (well thats what i made them into)

What works great for your neighbor may not work at all for you. If you have enough garden space or even a patio, do some experimenting yourself. Eventually you will find what works and what doesn't work and have a lot of fun in the process.
