I already wash my clothes in cold water, but I don't use Cold Water Tide. How is Cold Water Tide more effective than using another brand not meant for cold water. Is Cold Water Tide a scam because it is so expensive to buy?

first off cold water tide is not more effective just more expensive. I laundry in nothing but cold water and I use the purple bottle of "Xtra" and any Wal-Mart carries it. Doing your laundry in cold water helps prevent staining and also conserves energy, whether it be electric or gas (HOT water heater) and in the long run saves $

Some detergents are especially formulated to work better in cold temperatures, but I've found regular Tide does just as well in cold temps as Cold Water Tide or Cheer. I use cold only for my blouses. Everything else I wash in warm, except for sheets in hot.

it's not.
i always wash my clothes in cold water, unless i have a load of white, then i will wash them in warm, I'm sure that a lot of people wash in cold water, you'd be poor if you washed in hot water all the time. It's just something to convince gullible or stupid people to buy, and don't know anything about cleaning, and they think that they will save money.
