I would use hot water and bleach on those socks if the main part is white. We have white with gray toes and heels also yellow toes and heels and they come out just fine using bleach and hot water.

Most all my socks are like that. I bleach the sh!t out of my socks. I use at least three cups of bleach per load. Then I take a bucket of that water and do the kitchen and bathroom floors.
For the most part one out of fifty pairs can't take the bleach.
I've got so meny pair of socks like that, 'cause it makes it easier to match up when I wash them.

I always take a 1/2 cup of bleach and dilute it with water ( a lot of water) and put it in the washer before i put my clothes in there. It won't discolor your socks if you dilute the water first.

soak them in dishwashing detergent and borax or oxy-clean. We use oxy-clean to soak the wine stained cloths at church and it works like a charm. Bleach deteriates the fabric over time.
