I train weights five times a week, doing different muscle groups every day. Ive been told that if i go running on my days off that this will effectivly cancel out a lot of the growth that the training has given me, or at least slow it down considerably.
Is this true?

I play tennis 5 times a week, cricket twice and football twice so i am quite slim. I wanna get a six pack by doing sit up! If i wanted a six pack in 3 weeks or just noticable abs how many sit ups a day shall i do.

ok i am 18 and weigh 168lbs. Im 5 11 also. I have been working out for about 3 months now and have already dropped almost 18 pounds. I want to have a sculpted chest and mid section but cant seem to get rid of my belly fat. I lift weights 3 days a week and run 3 days a week. I drink over 100 oz of water a day and i am on a no sugar diet, eating 4-5 times a day. I even take an ephedrine caffine stack alternate weeks. I was speaking to my doctor and he said that i dont need to be any lighter because i am at an optimum weight for my size. What else can i do to get rid of this fat around my chest and stomach, i lift alot of weights but cant seem to get the definition i want to see. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and tips for building mid section definition would be great.

I am 3 stone overweight and taking Orlistat and so far lost a stone since Sept. I am also on Cipramil and a low dose of Quetiapine to help with my moods. I was in a car accident 2 years ago and unable to do any fat busting exercise...that's how I put on all the weight on. I have just had a op which is linked to the accident so am on crutches. I am trying to keep my weight down and exercise daily with weights and do between 200-300 ab crunches, but my weight won't budge. I am not eating large portions (went to dietitian who sorted that out) but I need to lose 4lb before my next weigh in on Thursday....any ideas?

People say women with some meat/curves are attractive.I just dont get this since some people sometimes look at an anorexic and a model and say the model has some "meat"although they dont,just less bony than anorexics...
Anyways do you think a 116lbs and 5'3 is attractive or should I lose some weight?

On food packages the products say total fat, under that is listed saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and trans fats, but the total doesn't add up. So where's the hidden fat? What type is it? I've asked several places and no one seems to know.

Yesterday we got a science assignment that we have to write down every single thing we eat until Thursday, including calories and fat content.

I really really don't feel comfortable with this at all. I seriously do not want her knowing what I'm eating. I know this sounds like I'm stuck up or I have an eating disorder or something, but I'm going through a really stressful time right now and I'm hardly eating anything at all. My parents and a lot of people in my school already think I'm anorexic and I don't need them to think that they have more proof. Should I tell my teacher or just stick it out and go along with it?

A slim waist with...
1. no defined abs (smooth stomach no raised muscles)
2. a hint of stomach muscles (slightly raised muscles)
3. Very defined abs (the kind you see in those exercise ads on cable)

I am 5'4" and weight about 120 currently. I want to weight about 110 to 112. I am eating as healthy as I can. I cut out the sugar mostly, and I run 7-8 miles in the morning and another 5-7 miles at night...just started weight lifting 3 times a week too. I am really trying hard to reach my goal, but want to know if it is a realistic one. Any advice....also what do you think about the snicker low carb marathon bars? They have 1g sugar and 3g carbs are they good or bad?

I have been on his nutritional diet and doing cardio for months and have lost about 20 lbs., he now wants me to start weight training, I don't understand how this will allow me to lose weight. I still have 30lbs to go, and he told me these 30lbs will come off quicker than the first 20. How can this be???

I'm 5'2, 180 lbs, and I cannot lose wieght. I've been working out really hard at the gym, cardio, 5 days a week, for almost a year and have not lost 1 pound. I don't eat more than any one should, I have a normal lunch and dinner every day, and I don't eat a lot of snacks or fattening foods. I've also had my thyroid tested and it is normal. I just don't understand what the problem is. I'm thinking about getting lypo suction, because I don't gain wieght, I've been the same size ever since I had my child 3 years ago.
