I am 3 stone overweight and taking Orlistat and so far lost a stone since Sept. I am also on Cipramil and a low dose of Quetiapine to help with my moods. I was in a car accident 2 years ago and unable to do any fat busting exercise...that's how I put on all the weight on. I have just had a op which is linked to the accident so am on crutches. I am trying to keep my weight down and exercise daily with weights and do between 200-300 ab crunches, but my weight won't budge. I am not eating large portions (went to dietitian who sorted that out) but I need to lose 4lb before my next weigh in on Thursday....any ideas?

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m.
I know a woman who lost 60 pounds a month on it. She did nothing else!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Chop off a limb...

Seriously though Losing 4lb in 2 days is really bad. Just admit to yourself that you need to do better for next time and write this weigh in off. Learn from your mistakes.

If you try and lose the weight too quickly then you will be losing water and muscle - not exactly what you want to do, you want to make your body better not worse.

You don't need to do exercise to lose weight. My father had heart problems and couldn't do exercise so he just dieted - ate sensible portions for his weight. He lost about 4 stone, it took a while but he did it (just about 4 more to go though bless him!)

I think you might be being dishonest with what you are eating or that you are eating for the wrong weight bracket.
Note down every morsel of food and drink that passes your lips - cola and flavoured waters all have calories in them that add up. You'd be surprised at what things you aren't paying attention to - a few bites of the ingredients as you are cooking food, sugar in your tea or coffee - even chewing gum has some calories. (or you have been eating too little and sent your body into starvation mode)

Dont eat any bread or sugar, basically dont eat any carbs, you will lose 4lb or more in 2 days that way, your body will start getting rid of excess water first and that usually takes about 5lbs off in the first few days.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Why do you need to lose 4 pounds by your next weigh in?? Losing 4 pounds in 2 days is not healthy. I would suggest hiring a personal trainer for a few weeks to show you what you can do to increase your exercise and to break this plateau of not being able to lose weight.

Search for a store instead of shopping on the web.

Cut water weight by wearing sweats and keeping your eating and drinking to a minimum. If you want to get crazy you could try using a laxative to clear out your system but 4 lbs should be easy.
